Mortgage rates are sitting at 6.46% and inflation fears could push them to 7.5% by summer. What does that mean for you if you are trying to buy a home in the Santa Clarita Valley right now? It means the window is open while the sidelines are packed. It also means the refinance boom has not even started yet. When it does, it will be explosive.

Anthropic just locked in a massive power deal with Google and Broadcom for multiple gigawatts of TPU compute capacity to fuel next-generation AI models by 2027. Enterprise AI spending doubled in two months. The infrastructure arms race is real and it is driving the construction and manufacturing job growth that the Bureau of Labor Statistics is celebrating. But nobody is counting the white collar seats that AI emptied. The April jobs report says 178,000 new positions added. Where? Data centers. The very buildings that house the machines replacing office workers.

Metal thefts are surging across Los Angeles County and the Santa Clarita Valley. Construction sites and community infrastructure are being targeted. This mirrors the pattern from the last foreclosure cycle. Economic desperation fuels organized property crime. Get a camera on your property. Motion activated. Visible. They built an AI model called Mythos. It found software vulnerabilities hidden in systems for over 27 years. Backdoors in programs that touch banking, email, personal data. Things nobody had ever detected. And then they decided who gets to use it. Not you. Not me. The Fortune 50. JP Morgan. The conglomerates. The government. Regular people get the version they decide is safe enough.

Anthropic is a constitutional AI company. That means Claude trains itself against a set of documents and principles instead of humans sitting in a room deciding what is good and bad. It feels different when you use it. There is a precision to it. And that company just told the United States government no.

The government wanted expanded surveillance capabilities. Dario Amodei said that was not going to happen. The government responded by extracting the model, labeling Anthropic a supply chain risk, and moving on. The public flooded Anthropic with support. Subscribers jumped overnight. From a marketing standpoint, telling the most powerful entity on the planet to go pound sand turned out to be the best advertising money could never buy.

Sam Altman showed up the same week and said yes to everything Anthropic said no to. Two companies. Two philosophies. One built on constitutional principles. One built on whatever gets the deal done.

Then Claude Code leaked. The full source code hit the internet. Somebody rewrote it in Python before the cease and desist letters landed. Inside the leak was the first public reference to Mythos. And the implications are staggering. If a model can find vulnerabilities, it can prove them. If it can prove them, it can use them. If it can use them, it can create them. That is a weapon. And weapons do not get handed out at the dollar store.

OpenClaw is a multi-agent orchestration system. Real AI agents that hold credit cards, send emails, make phone calls, and act in the real world. The creator named it something too close to Claude. Anthropic sent lawyers. OpenAI hired the creator. Sometimes the cop move is to wait. Give people enough time and they hang themselves. You do not always need to be the first one reaching for the handcuffs.

We have invented something smarter than us. The Ship of Theseus is real now. If every part of a ship gets replaced over time, is it still the same ship? Darth Vader was mostly machine. Was he still Anakin Skywalker? We are going to be answering questions like that for the rest of our lives.

Anthropic had an accident. The code behind their Claude programming model got released publicly. People got inside. And sitting in the wreckage was something called Mythos. Their next model. So powerful they will not give it to regular people. Only to massive corporations and government-level operations. What does that tell you about where this is headed?

In this episode, we break down the Anthropic Mythos leak, the OpenClaw situation where Dario Amodei probably wishes he had a time machine, and what happens when AI companies send lawyers instead of building partnerships. OpenAI swooped in, hired the OpenClaw creator, and opened the door Anthropic slammed shut. That is a mistake you feel for years.

We also cover the Iran ceasefire and the Strait of Hormuz reopening. Oil flows again. Helium flows again. Technology manufacturing breathes. But this is temporary relief designed to keep us on pins and needles while the real moves happen behind the curtain. Interest rates trace back to the 10-year Treasury bond, not the Fed. When geopolitical chaos settles, banks trade money cheaper. Rates come down. Right now, sellers and buyers are both frozen.

Then we get into the body. Carbohydrates are the target, not sugar. When people hear sugar they picture candy. They look at pasta and think it is safe. That plate of pasta spikes your blood sugar the same way a candy bar does. Pizza is devastating. A continuous glucose monitor does not lie. The insulin spike goes up hard and stays there. That drives inflammation, joint pain, sleep disruption, and the cycle of addiction that keeps you eating garbage.

Your body has a warehouse of fuel strapped to it. That stored fat is firewood stacked on the porch. But if you eat all day, you never access it. You bust up the furniture inside the house and throw it in the fireplace while a cord of wood sits ten feet away. To access the stored fuel, insulin has to drop. Liver glycogen has to deplete. And that only happens when you stop eating long enough for the switch to flip.

They put AI CEOs on stage and somebody always asks: what do you tell your kids? Their kids are set. Trust funds stacked ten generations deep. Their kids are not checking insurance deductibles or wondering if the mortgage gets paid next month. That question is a mismatch. You are asking a billionaire to empathize with fears they have never felt.

The people running these companies are not relatable. They are brilliant. They are also foreign to anyone living paycheck to paycheck. And foreign people making decisions about your future is unsettling no matter how many zeros are in their net worth.

Meanwhile the federal government wants to override all state-level AI regulation and run one national framework. Universal basic income is back on the table. Elon floated "universal high income" which sounds more like a bumper sticker than a policy. And your social media algorithm is feeding you anger because anger drives engagement. That is not an accident. That is architecture.

What if we pointed all of this compute at cancer? At longevity? At disease? What if every GPU went toward fixing the human body instead of generating entertainment content? That is the genie problem. You get the wish but you did not think the constraints through. AI is the most powerful genie in history and we have not agreed on what to ask for yet.

Jason Fung just released The Hunger Code and named the three types of hunger that most of us have been fighting blind. True starvation hunger, which almost nobody experiences. Hedonic hunger, the dopamine pleasure response that makes processed food as addictive as hard drugs. And conditioned hunger, triggered by environment and social cues like mealtimes and holidays. Name the hunger. Tag it. Fight it. The addict who can identify the trigger has a chance. The addict who just says "I'm hungry" has already lost.

Day 7 of Fast 3. Ghrelin comes in waves. It peaks around the times you normally ate. The wave hits, you feel like breaking, then it passes. Ride it or it rides you. Angus Barbieri fasted 382 days. I have done 14 and nearly killed myself on the refeed. When you break a fast, honor yourself enough not to blow it out. Bone broth. A couple eggs. Slow. The refeed is where you are most vulnerable.

Caloric restriction is a lie. Cut your calories in half and your body adjusts its metabolism to match. When you go back to eating normally, you gain faster than before. Extended fasting bypasses the trap. Deplete the glycogen, switch to ketosis, let the body eat its own stored fuel. Metabolism goes up during fasting. Everything they told us was backwards.

Real estate is in a holding pattern. The war in Iran, 10-year bond rates, and general uncertainty have frozen the market. If you locked in at 6.1 to 6.3 percent recently, you timed it well. When rates eventually drop, the refi boom will be massive. Play the lenders against each other. Get everything in writing. If you are selling, price it right, depersonalize, dress the curb appeal, and the house moves in any market.

Sam Altman sat down with Axios today and did what he always does. Fed everyone silk meringue. Smooth. Sweet. Nothing you can hold onto. He talked about superintelligence like it is already here, acknowledged it could be "horrible," and then walked the room back to optimism before anyone could ask a follow-up. That is not transparency. That is technique.

This episode of Connor with Honor covers four fronts.

THE MACHINE. Altman compared superintelligence to a tool, but this tool is not a hammer sitting in a drawer. It is a hammer that opens the drawer and walks around the room. He hinted at models behind closed doors that are far more powerful than anything the public has access to. The PlayStation analogy is back. They already have PlayStation 10. We are paying $20 a month for PlayStation 4.

Iran threatened to bomb the $30 billion Stargate AI data center in Abu Dhabi. Data centers are now military targets. The machines need electricity like we need food and somebody just threatened to cut the power line. Meanwhile the commander in chief is talking about destroying Iran's power grid and desalinization plants. The people running that government might survive. The people living under it will not.

Anthropic leaked its own Claude Code source code onto GitHub. Plans for a persistent agent. A virtual assistant called Buddy. Was it really an accident? Or was it the AI equivalent of a business owner torching his own building during a riot and blaming the neighborhood?

THE BODY. Jason Fung's new book The Hunger Code breaks hunger into three types. Homeostatic hunger is real starvation. Most of us who carry extra weight have never actually felt it. Hedonic hunger is the dopamine chase. The drive-through on autopilot. Ordering the food before you even think about it. Destroying the evidence before you reach your destination. Conditioned hunger is eating by habit. The clock says noon so the brain says eat. The tobacco companies lost the lawsuits and bought into food. The same people who engineered nicotine addiction now engineer your bliss point. You do not have to smoke. You do not have to do heroin. But you have to eat. That is what makes food the last addiction.

GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic do not just blunt hunger. They blunt desire across the board. Relationships. Drive. Connection. They solve one problem by flattening everything else.

THE HOUSE. The market is normalizing. Days on market climbing to 80 and 90. The 10-year bond is getting hit because of Middle East uncertainty, pushing rates higher. This is not a crash.
