By 40, we’ve lost around 25% of the collagen in our connective tissue. Certain antibiotics, ultraviolet radiation, high sugar consumption, and poor diet can contribute to collagen breakdown and speed up premature aging. Vitamin D helps protect you against the loss of collagen and premature aging.
The most potent stimulus of collagen is exercise. Focus on the plank exercise, eccentric exercises, and sprinting. Not only will these exercises make you look younger, but they’ll also improve the health of the vessels, valves, and tissues around your heart.
There are several anti-aging foods that you should add to your diet to prevent premature aging. Adequate vitamin C intake is essential to form collagen. Raw sauerkraut has the highest amount of vitamin C!
Vitamin K2 is vital for collagen and keeping your cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and fascia healthy. It also helps give your skin a youthful glow. Liver, egg yolk, and butter are the best food sources of vitamin K2.
Magnesium allows your body to make collagen and helps vitamin D prevent its breakdown. Dark chocolate, almonds, and spinach are the best sources of magnesium.
Zinc keeps skin youthful and speeds up wound healing. Oysters, red meat, and liver contain the most zinc. Copper is also essential. The best sources are oysters, red meat, shellfish, liver, and dark chocolate.
High-quality protein is crucial in keeping you healthy and helping you look younger. Grass-fed beef is the best source.
Intermittent fasting can promote autophagy, which has potent anti-aging effects. You must also prioritize sleep to reverse aging and have a youthful glow.
Oxytocin is one of the most powerful anti-stress hormones. You can make your own cultivated yogurt product using the microbe L. reuteri to significantly increase this hormone.
An autoimmune disease is a condition in which the immune system attacks its own tissues. It is typically characterized by low regulatory T-cells and high Th17 and Th2 cells. T-reg cells prevent autoimmune diseases by supporting an appropriate immune response.
There are natural ways to support your immune system so that it operates at an optimal level. Poor gut health and gut inflammation can block the function of vitamin D3. Without enough vitamin D, T-reg cells do not work properly.
The majority of the population is vitamin D-resistant. To support the immune system, you need 8,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily, but even more to overcome resistance.
Poor gut health, inflammation, and low vitamin D are a perfect storm for developing an autoimmune condition.
B. infantis and L. reuteri are vital for your immune system, but many people don’t have them because these probiotics are very sensitive to antibiotics. These two important microbes help prevent autoimmune diseases, greatly affect T-reg cells, and suppress inflammatory immune cells.
L. reuteri helps increase oxytocin, one of the most potent anti-stress hormones. High cortisol levels mean high stress, which suppresses the immune system. The best way to consume l. reuteri is to cultivate it in a dairy product.
If you’re low in selenium, you will have higher amounts of inflammatory immune cells. Selenium helps lower Th17, Th2 cells, and auto-antibodies involved in autoimmune disorders.
Prolonged fasting can improve your immune system by increasing T-reg cells and creating new stem cells.
Today, I’m going to tell you how to stop overthinking! Overthinking can trigger cortisol, which equals more stress. Stress hormones will continue to stress you out, leaving you trapped in a vicious cycle of anxious thoughts that can be very difficult to break out of.
Most of the time, anxiety and overthinking can be fixed by addressing nutritional imbalances, but people are often prescribed SSRIs. These drugs block the reabsorption of serotonin and come with several side effects. They can downgrade the receptor for serotonin, which can cause a major deficiency in serotonin.
Drugs, chronic stress, junk food, lack of sun, and vitamin D can deplete your serotonin and dopamine. Many people get the blues during the winter months because of a lack of vitamin D from the sun.
Vitamin D deficiency can lead to anxiety and depression. Research has shown that vitamin D may produce the same results as a medication for depression without the side effects!
The health of your microbiome directly affects your mental health. The microbes that help increase serotonin are very sensitive to broad-spectrum antibiotics.
To stop overthinking and improve your mental health, you’ll want to take at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D each day. You also need the microbes that make serotonin!
L. reuteri affects serotonin more than any other microbe, yet over 96% of the population is deficient! The best way to fix this problem is to make your own probiotic yogurt using L. reuteri. This microbe can help decrease anxiety, increase oxytocin, and significantly reduce cortisol.
Vitamin D is the most important vitamin! It’s a fat-soluble vitamin involved in 10% of our genetics.
Vitamin D won’t work unless you have enough magnesium, the second most important nutrient. Magnesium is involved with 300 different enzymes and plays a vital role in regulating excess calcium. Magnesium glycinate supplements have the best absorption rate.
The more vitamin D you take, the more magnesium you’ll need. Some negative side effects associated with vitamin D, such as nausea, heart palpitations, muscle cramps, and headaches, are actually symptoms of a magnesium deficiency.
Don’t take vitamin D without the important cofactor, vitamin K2. Vitamin D helps you absorb calcium, but you need vitamin K2 to drive it into the bones and teeth to keep it out of the soft tissues.
Vitamin K2 is best for calcium buildup. Take 100 mcg of vitamin K2 for every 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3.
Zinc is another important cofactor that helps you convert cholesterol into vitamin D. If you’re taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D, you should also take 20 mg of zinc.
One of the biggest vitamin D mistakes is not taking enough! You need at least 6,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 every day. Vitamin D2 does not work like vitamin D3.
The vitamin D detected in the blood is not the active form. This means you could have normal blood levels of vitamin D but still have vitamin D deficiency.
Statins and steroids can inhibit your ability to make vitamin D and its ability to work in your body. The best time to get vitamin D from the sun is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Today, I’m going to tell you about some important foods and nutrients that should be part of a healthy diet for people over 50.
Dr. David Sinclair, an expert on longevity, has researched longevity genes called sirtuins. NAD can increase sirtuins!
NAD is derived from niacin. It works inside your mitochondria, converting food to energy. As we age, our NAD decreases. Many people take supplements and get injections to boost NAD.
Dr. Abram Hoffer wrote a book about the diseases caused by too little niacin and how many diseases can be cured with mega doses. He’s one of the doctors who started the Orthomolecular Medicine Group, which used high doses of nutrients to create therapeutic dosages.
The following foods can increase NAD and should be part of a healthy diet for people over 50:
1. Beef liver
2. Grass-fed red meat
3. Probiotic-rich foods—raw sauerkraut, yogurt
4. Parsley (celery or chamomile tea can also work)
5. Curcumin—turmeric
6. Quercetin—onions
7. Omega-3 fatty acids—wild-caught fatty fish, cod liver
Sulforaphane, found in cruciferous vegetables, is also beneficial for healthy aging. Broccoli sprouts and radish sprouts are great to add to salads! Anthocyanins, found in blue and purple foods like blueberries, blackberries, and purple cabbage, are also good for anti-aging.

Today, I’m going to show you how to eliminate mucus in the lungs using NAC. NAC works similarly to salt by thinning mucus, but it also stops its production. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and antiviral agent that can even break up biofilms. NAC also strengthens the cilia in the respiratory system, which helps to move mucus.
NAC can be taken orally, injected, or inhaled through a nebulizer. It can be beneficial for respiratory congestion related to an infection or for diseases like COPD or cystic fibrosis. NAC is also used in hospitals as an antidote for Tylenol poisoning.
NAC helps enhance brain function and has been shown to be beneficial for people with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson's, OCD, addictions, depression, and schizophrenia. NAC can improve insulin sensitivity, which helps regulate blood sugar and prevent a fatty liver. It promotes healthy blood pressure and cholesterol, and can even help with asthma.
You can reduce respiratory mucus with salt if you’re dealing with an acute infection, but NAC can eliminate mucus and the inflammation behind it.
Vitamin C, curcumin, probiotics, magnesium, quercetin, and vitamin D can all improve the effectiveness of NAC.
There are many ways that vitamin D function supports cancer prevention. Vitamin D triggers a cell to commit suicide if it’s damaged. It helps regulate cell growth and has potent anti-inflammatory properties.
Vitamin D enhances almost every part of your immune system, enhances chemotherapy, and makes insulin more sensitive. It downgrades genes that cause cancer and supports the gut microbiome, which is 80% of your immune system.
In a cancer cell, inflammation and a hypoxic, acidic environment block the absorption of vitamin D. Cancer also blocks the enzymes that allow you to convert inactive vitamin D to the active form. Cancer damages the liver and kidney, two significant sites of vitamin D metabolism.
Around 80% of tumors produce a hormone similar to the parathyroid hormone, which extracts calcium from our bones. This is why hypercalcemia is a side effect of cancer. When the parathyroid hormone goes up, it lowers and inhibits vitamin D. Too much calcium in the blood also inhibits vitamin D.
There are two systems of vitamin D: one that affects bone and calcium, and the other that supports the immune system. The bone system only requires a small amount of vitamin D every two weeks, while the other requires higher amounts daily.
When dealing with cancer, consider taking around 50,000 IU of vitamin D with magnesium, vitamin K2, and zinc daily. The World Health Organization acknowledges that vitamin D has anticarcinogenic properties.
Autoimmune conditions, osteoarthritis, tuberculosis, and HIV are also associated with vitamin D deficiency.
Along with increasing vitamin D3, the following epigenetic factors can help with cancer prevention:
1. Magnesium
2. Omega-3 fatty acids
3. Resveratrol
4. Quercetin
5. Curcumin
6. Berberine
7. Intense exercise
8. Sulforaphane
9. Ginger
10. Fasting
11. Low-carb diet
12. Probiotics
13. Infrared light
14. Decreasing stress

In this video, I’m going to tell you how to look younger naturally. The secret to younger-looking skin is NOT wearing sunblock every single day!
UV rays make up only about 3% of the sun's wavelengths. Sixty percent of sunlight is infrared light, which has numerous health benefits. Sunblock typically only blocks UVB rays, which are essential for making vitamin D. It doesn't block the UVA rays, which are typically deemed harmful.
Even UVA rays have health benefits! They can increase nitric oxide, which increases blood flow and circulation to the skin.
Skin cancer is often a serious concern when being exposed to the sun. Although we’ve been decreasing sun exposure, melanomas have increased significantly. Interestingly enough, melanomas usually occur in areas that are not exposed to the sun. So, is it the sun that’s causing melanomas?
If you’re using a moisturizer for younger-looking skin, check the ingredients! Many creams that claim to make you look younger are full of chemicals and actually have the opposite effect.
Synthetic antioxidants, sugar, and junk food will age the skin quickly. Overwashing your face can also cause problems. Antibiotics and things that act like antibiotics, such as birth control pills, antacids, steroids, and statins, can wreak havoc on your skin.
Oxytocin is a hormone that can increase stem cells for your skin. It has potent regenerative properties that also help with bonding and make people feel more social and calm. The microbe L. Reuteri can significantly increase oxytocin.
Many people do not have L. Reuteri in their microbiome. When you destroy the microbiome, certain microbes never come back!
Cold immersion, exercise, and facial exercises can also help you look younger.
Today, we’re going to talk about the hidden dangers of starch. Some ultra-processed foods may not have sugar but are packed with synthetic starch. Many synthetic starches can potentially affect your blood sugar even more than sugar.
When you repeatedly raise your blood sugar, you will eventually develop insulin resistance. Over time, your fat cells can no longer store fat, and energy is stored inside the organs or as visceral fat. Ultimately, you lose the ability to control your blood sugar levels and can develop diabetes.
Starches are hidden sugar! Even products labeled sugar-free contain starches that can cause more damage than sugar.
Synthetic starches do not contain protein, fat, or fiber, all of which help buffer blood sugar spikes. Consuming starches can also deplete your body of essential nutrients such as vitamin D. This can cause significant inflammation, decreasing vitamin D’s ability to work in your cells.
Vitamin B1 is vital for your body to burn carbohydrates. Synthetic starches deplete vitamin B1 and zinc, leaving you tired and unable to create energy in the body.
Synthetic starches feed the pathogenic microbes in your gut. They can also contribute to small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
Modified corn starch is added to food as a thickener or carrier of flavors. Maltodextrin is typically added to food as a filler. It’s also sometimes added to protein powders as an energy source. This is incredibly damaging to your cells and mitochondria.
Today, we’re going to take a look at the underlying cause of autoimmune disease. Your immune system has two parts: the innate immune system that you’re born with and the acquired immune system that’s created through a series of infections. Over time, the acquired immune system becomes stronger and offers protection against infection.
The innate immune system is not the problem when it comes to autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune disorders typically involve problems with the T-regulatory cells or T-cells. Also called suppressor T-cells, these cells are the peacemakers of the immune system and stop the immune reaction when the job is done.
Prednisone, the synthetic version of cortisol, is commonly used as a treatment for autoimmune diseases. Both prednisone and vitamin D have reduce inflammation, but Vitamin D empowers and enhances the immune system. Prednisone suppresses the innate and the acquired immune systems.
Vitamin D shifts the immune system to increase the T-cells. Inflammatory TH1 and TH17 cells are usually too high when someone has an autoimmune disease. Vitamin D suppresses both of these cells, reducing inflammation.
Prednisone raises your blood glucose levels while vitamin D does not. Vitamin D enhances the cells that makes insulin and helps to regulate your blood sugars. Prednisone can break down your bone, leading to osteoporosis. Vitamin D helps you absorb calcium and supports bone remineralization.
The thymus gland makes T-cells. As we age, the thymus gland deteriorates and our immune systems decline. Vitamin D slows down this process, but you need larger, therapeutic doses. Vitamin D does not work without the cofactors magnesium, vitamin K2, and zinc.
Dr. Coimbra of Brazil created a protocol that involves increasing vitamin D to penetrate any resistance. This lowers the parathyroid hormone which means that vitamin D levels have significantly increased.
