  • EP 66: A Conversation with an EarthEcho Water Challenge Ambassador

Today, Jason talks with Abrielle Brown. Abrielle is a Sophomore high school honors student from Southwestern, Pennsylvania.  Her interests include environmental science/activism as well as performing in musical theatre and volunteering in the community.  She is currently a 2020 Water Challenge Ambassador for EarthEcho International, which is a nonprofit organization founded by Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau in honor of their father and grandfather.  If you've never heard of EarthEcho, their mission is to inspire young people worldwide to act now for a sustainable future, and to equip youth to identify and solve environmental challenges in their communities.  When Abrielle looks at the world around her, she recognizes the importance of understanding and protecting the environment and being a "citizen scientist", which I think you’ll come to understand after listening to our conversation.

  • Ep 62: Talking Conservation with a U.S. House Candidate

In today's episode, Jason talks with Bill Marx. Bill is a Democrat running for the U.S. House of Representatives in the PA 14th Congressional District. He is a father, husband, and military veteran who still serves as a reservist. He also feels that conservation is an important part of the political landscape and we discuss just that. Topics they discuss include water quality, the impact of outdoor recreation, why conservation should matter to politicians, and how humans are a part of the ecosystem.

    *Disclosure*

This is not an endorsement for Bill's campaign. Conserve the Wild does not endorse any one candidate or political party. The members of CtW do not bleed RED or BLUE - WE ALL BLEED PURPLE! Conservation should always remain an apolitical space where decisions are made based on science and observations. This is where CtW will always stand...on the side of Conservation and the North American Model of Conservation.
