  • Ep 60: Why I Hunt

In todays episode, Jason answers the question "Why I Hunt." On EP 52: Why Do You Hunt, Robbie Kroger of Blood Origins asked Jason why he hunts. His answer was quick and to the point, but it didn't tell the whole story. Since then, Jason has been thinking and tweaking his answer. With some hunting seasons already started and more to start soon, he wanted to share his full explanation. Tossed in between his answers are some listener contributions to the same question. The answers are varied and complex, but always personal.

If you want to share your "Why I Hunt" answer, reach out to us at conservewild.org/contact. We may share your answer in a future episode!

  • Ep 55: A Major Win for Whitetail Deer
About 2 weeks ago, something happened that we suspect will change conservation in this country in a huge way. That something was a merger between two whitetail deer conservation groups. Today, Jason talks with Lindsay Thomas Jr. and Nick Pinizzotto about the joining of the Quality Deer Management Association and the National Deer Alliance. In the past, we have touted the benefits of the QDMA and had various members of the organization on to talk about their impact. This time, we delve into what this merger means for current QDMA and NDA members, what changes will be made at the chapter level, and how this union helps deer. After hearing the conversation, we think the excitement in their voices says it all.
