8-13-25  Conservative Commandos: " DC Mayor Bowser changes her tone on Trump as crackdown ramps up!!
When Republicans pressured her over the giant “Black Lives Matter” lettering she installed in front of the White House during Trump’s first term, Bowser agreed to remove it. Her reasoning: The city had bigger fish to fry, particularly on managing the federal job cuts Trump has enacted this year.
Now, as Trump federalizes the police in the capital and deploys the National Guard, Bowser faces perhaps the biggest test to date of her leadership and her ability to navigate the White House.  Bowser’s comments in response to the announcement illustrate how she’s often trying to communicate multiple messages at one time.  Describing Trump’s executive action as “unsettling and unprecedented,” Bowser on Monday blasted the city’s lack of full autonomy without personalizing that frustration or criticizing Trump directly.
“I can’t say that given some of the rhetoric of the past that we’re totally surprised,” she said.  Minutes later, she suggested the federal intervention may work to the city’s benefit and told reporters she didn’t have the legal authority to stop Trump’s plans.  “The fact that we have more law enforcement and presence in neighborhoods, that may be positive,” she said.
But Bowser struck a stronger tone during a virtual conversation with community leaders on Tuesday.  Asked what residents can do, Bowser said, “This is a time where community needs to jump in and we all need to, to do what we can in our space, in our lane, to protect our city and to protect our autonomy, to protect our Home Rule, and get to the other side of this guy, and make sure we elect a Democratic House so that we have a backstop to this authoritarian push.”  The following day, she responded to a question about her relationship with Trump saying, “I’m the mayor and he’s the president. I mean, that’s always been our relationship, and the DC mayor and the president of the United States will always have probably more interaction than any city in the rest of our country. So, we’re going to keep doing our job.”
By comparison, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Trump has no credibility in the law and order space.

8-11-25  Conservative Commandos: TOPIC:  Trump deploys National Guard to D.C., federal government to take over city police department
President Trump announced Monday that he would deploy about 800 National Guard troops to the District of Columbia and placed the city’s police department under emergency federal control in an unprecedented move to combat crime in the nation’s capital and remove homeless encampments.  The president said he might send federal authorities to other cities, including New York and Chicago, if local Democratic officials don’t crack down on what he called “out of control” crime in liberal jurisdictions.
Citing lenient prosecution of teens who commit crimes in the District, Mr. Trump said carjackings, assaults, armed robberies and other offenses have become commonplace in the nation’s capital. He said the District has become an unsafe city for American tourists and foreign dignitaries alike.  “Our capital city has been overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged-out maniacs and homeless people, and we’re not going to let it happen anymore. We’re not going to take it,” Mr. Trump said during a White House press conference.  The president said his administration also will be “getting rid of the slums.”
Flanked by several Cabinet members, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Mr. Trump painted a hellish portrait of a city overrun by violence, homelessness, graffiti and vandalism. He said his actions were necessary to “rescue” a city that has become “out of control.”  Mr. Trump said he is prepared to send the military into the District “if needed.” Mr. Hegseth did not indicate which branches of the military could be deployed in the city but said “specialized units” could be mobilized.  “They will be strong. They will be tough and they will stand with our law enforcement partners,” Mr. Hegseth said.
Ms. Bondi said Monday morning that the federal takeover of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department began immediately.  The president’s depiction of rampant crime in the District contradicts statistics from the police department showing that overall crime is down 7% from last year and violent crime is down 26%. However, the numbers are down from recent 20-year highs, such as 274 homicides in 2023 and a surge in carjackings two years ago that reached more than 100 per month.  “It’s not getting better, it’s getting worse,” said Mr. Trump, adding that he believes the District is fudging its latest crime statistics.

he U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has sent the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) a request for a treasure trove of documents related to the ongoing federal investigation into the Obama administration’s Russiagate operation, The Federalist has learned. According to a letter to ODNI senior adviser Paul McNamara, which was obtained by The Federalist, the DOJ has requested from ODNI a wide array of documents about the Obama administration’s 2016 and 2017 attempts to frame then-President-elect Donald Trump as an agent of Russia who stole the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.
The request comes on the heels of the declassification and public release of records from late 2016 and 2017 which show how top intelligence and law enforcement officials — including former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former DNI James Clapper — conspired to fabricate a narrative that Russia meddled in the 2016 election in order to elect Trump. The declassified records showed that top intelligence experts objected to the narrative, highlighted myriad issues with the so-called intelligence used to support false claims about Trump, and even told Brennan that he was misrepresenting facts and ignoring counter-evidence as part of a push to attack Trump, cripple his transition, and even hijack his presidency.

The New York Times was accused of "journalistic malpractice" on Tuesday after admitting an emaciated child displayed on the front page as evidence of famine in Gaza was actually suffering from a grim preexisting condition unrelated to the conflict with Israel.  The ordeal began Friday when a grim image of a malnourished infant was splashed across the Times’ front page with the somber headline, "Young, Old and Sick Starve to Death in Gaza: ‘There Is Nothing.’"
The photo’s caption noted the boy was "born healthy," and the accompanying story about the hunger crisis in Gaza reaching "new and astonishing levels of desperation" focused on Palestinians dying from starvation. Among them was Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, an 18-month-old whose father was "killed last October when he went out to seek food," according to the Times.
Social media users quickly noticed that Mohammed was the same boy who had previously been featured by other media outlets because he was living in Gaza with a significant preexisting disorder, a fact that was not mentioned in the Times’ viral front-page story.  After ignoring requests for comment for multiple days, the Times finally addressed the major omission on Tuesday with an editors’ note.  The admission was buried underneath the lengthy story that had already circulated for more than four days and critics didn’t believe enough remorse was expressed by the newspaper.
"If you read carefully, this is an admission of a remarkable deception. They ran a story about malnutrition but didn't include the context that the malnutrition is not caused by a lack of food, but by a pre-existing condition, a disease that affects the child's ability to thrive," Rubenstein reacted on X.  "I.e. in effect, they buried the actual story of the child's malnutrition to tell a different story of the malnutrition. Why? You can answer that," Rubenstein continued. "And -- it should be noted: If the original story was fit to print on the front page of the paper, so is the updated one with a clear editors' note."
"Children in Gaza are malnourished and starving, as New York Times reporters and others have documented. We recently ran a story about Gaza’s most vulnerable civilians, including Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, who is about 18 months old and suffers from severe malnutrition. We have since learned new information, including from the hospital that treated him and his medical records, and have updated our story to add context about his pre-existing health problems," Times spokesperson Nicole Taylor said.
"This additional detail gives readers a greater understanding of his situation," Taylor continued. "Our reporters and photographers continue to report from Gaza, bravely, sensitively, and at personal risk, so that readers can see firsthand the consequences of the war."

Ten people were killed and over a dozen injured in multiple mass shootings around the United States on Monday, July 28, marking an especially deadly day of gun violence in the country.
Four different shootings occurred throughout Monday in the cities of Atlanta, New York, Reno and Detroit. All of the four attacks can be considered mass shootings − though there is no official definition − described by leading gun violence research groups and nonprofits as events in which four or more individuals are shot or killed.
Here's a brief summary of each of the July 28 shootings.
Atlanta shooting: 1 dead, several 'innocent bystanders' shot.....  In the early morning hours in an Atlanta, Georgia nightlife district, a man was killed and 10 people suffered injuries after a gunman opened fire, according to officials. Of the injured, at least five appeared to be what the Atlanta Police Department Chief Darin Schierbaum called "innocent bystanders."  Police said they are looking for four suspects in connection to the shooting.
Detroit gas station shooting: 2 dead, 2 injured.....Two people were killed and two others injured during a shooting at a gas station in Detroit, Michigan early Monday morning. Officials said a man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a woman died from her injuries later in the day.  Police have not released details of the victims or identified a suspect or suspects.

Reno resort shooting: 3 dead, 3 wounded....  In Reno, Nevada, three people were killed and three others were wounded in a shooting outside the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, officials said. Police officers responded to the scene shortly before 7:30 a.m. local time, and exchanging fire and injuring the shooter.  Police have not identified the suspect or victims, and two victims and the shooter remained in critical condition as of Monday afternoon.
Manhattan skyscraper shooting: 4 dead, including NYPD officer.....In a central part of Manhattan in New York City on Monday, a gunman armed with an assault rifle charged into a Park Avenue skyscraper during rush hour and fatally shot at least four people, including a New York city police officer, before shooting himself.   The attack took place a few blocks from tourist hot spots of Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in an office building home to the NFL and several financial firms. The alleged gunman was identified as 27-year-old Shane Tamura, of Nevada. Police said the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

This morning, at the weekly House Republican Leadership press conference, Speaker Johnson discussed House Republicans’ clean 6-month continuing resolution (CR) and Congressional Democrats’ attempt to force a government shutdown. 
“Here's the bottom line. If Congressional Democrats refuse to support this clean CR, they will be responsible for every troop who misses a paycheck, for every flight delay from reduced staffing at TSA, and for every negative consequence that comes from shutting down the government,” Speaker Johnson said.

On Congressional Democrats spreading misinformation about the CR:
[Democrats] either have an issue with reading comprehension or they are attempting to run one of the most shameful misinformation campaigns that we've ever seen in our lives. We filed the continued resolution on Saturday, and as was noted, they had already come out panning the bill that literally had not yet been seen. This is the house Democrat leadership team's statement on Friday. They said, “Republicans have decided to introduce a partisan continuing resolution that threatens to cut funding for healthcare, nutritional assistance, and veterans benefits through the end of the year.” Every single word of that is a lie. Every single word, they just made it up. They didn't read the bill. It's nonsense. People are not buying this.
They said, “It's so harmful to the American people. You know, cutting Medicaid, cutting Medicare, threatening social security, cutting veteran benefits.” It's all a lie. You can all read the bills. 99 pages. This clean CR contains no poison pill riders. No policy riders there at all. No cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security. Zero. No cuts to veterans benefit benefits. Zero. In fact, as was noted, we plus up the accounts for veterans. And respectfully, I'm just going to say this to every reporter in the room. If you're allowing Democrats to make these intentionally false, scurrilous claims without pushback, then you're aiding and abetting the spreading this misinformation. I would just ask you to call 'em on it. The American people deserve that. They deserve that clarity from our press corps. Make them point it out to you. They can't, of course.
On House Republicans’ efforts to keep the government open:
You will see one team that is working to fund the government and make sure we do the responsible thing. And you're going to see another opposing a CR because they've now exposed the truth. They're not for federal workers; they're not for anyone. All the people they've said in the past that are going to be harmed, would be by their votes. They're using federal employees as props. They're using Medicaid benefits and social security checks as cudgels. The threat of government shutdown, they're using as some sort of attempt to wrestle power away from the president of the United States who overwhelmingly won the popular vote, the electoral college in every single swing state.

And now, after weeks of trotting federal workers up to Capitol Hill and onto cable news shows to protest President Trump's efforts to make the government more efficient, now they're planning to vote down this simple bill. They are going to try to shut the government down. Every house Democrat will participate in this it looks like. That would be a shame if it's true, I hope some of them will have a moment of clarity themselves and do the right thing. But it looks like they're going to try to shut down the government. It's a striking new posture for Democrats who have always been apoplectic about the prospect of government shutdowns. This is their own words. You don't need to trust us on this.

7-23-25  Conservative Commandos: " TOPICS: New Russiagate evidence 'directly' points to Obama, DOJ will decide 'criminal implications': Gabbard
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard doubled down at a White House press briefing Wednesday, alleging the Obama administration promoted a "contrived narrative" that Russia interfered in the 2016 election. 
"There is irrefutable evidence that details how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false," Gabbard said. "They knew it would promote this contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true. It wasn't." 
Gabbard’s comments come amid the declassification of a trove of documents from the U.S. intelligence community that allege the Obama administration politicized intelligence, and that U.S. intelligence organizations did not have direct information that Russian President Vladimir Putin sought to support Trump’s election in 2016. 
OBAMA DENIES TRUMP'S ‘BIZARRE ALLEGATIONS' THAT HE WAS RUSSIAGATE ‘RINGLEADER’ IN RARE STATEMENT

"All come back to and confirm the same report: There was a gross politicization and manipulation of intelligence by the Obama administration intended to delegitimize President Trump even before he was inaugurated, ultimately usurping the will of the American people," Gabbard said. 
Gabbard also said that the declassified documents have been shared with the Department of Justice and the FBI so those agencies can evaluate if any criminal implications stemming from the materials are warranted. 
"We have referred and will continue to refer all of these documents to the Department of Justice and the FBI, to investigate the criminal implications of this for the evidence," Gabbard said. "Correct. The evidence that we have found, and that we have released, directly point to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment. There are multiple pieces of evidence and intelligence that confirm that fact."
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of being the "ringleader" of investigations into whether his campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 election. 
In response, a spokesperson for Obama labeled the accusations "bizarre" and said the new documents do not alter the conclusions of previous intelligence assessments, including a 2020 report from the Senate Intelligence Committee that was chaired by now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio. 
"Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response," Obama spokesman Patrick Rodenbush said in a statement. "But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one." 
"These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction," Rodenbush said. "Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes." 
A spokesperson for Obama did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital Wednesday. 
The newly declassified documents name Obama, in addition to other administration officials, including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Secretary of State John Kerry, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe. 
Fox News Digital previously reported that Gabbard sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department pertaining to the newly declassified material, but the agency did not disclose specifics regarding whom the criminal referral targeted. 
The Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital on Wednesday. 
Gabbard's appearance before reporters at the White House came just hours after she released a 2020 report from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which said the intelligence community published "potentially biased" or "implausible" intelligence suggesting Putin sought to help Trump win the election, per the "unusual" orders of Obama.

OBAMA ADMIN 'MANUFACTURED' INTELLIGENCE TO CREATE 2016 RUSSIAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE NARRATIVE, DOCUMENTS SHOW
Gabbard said the documents revealed that Obama administration officials "manufactured and politicized intelligence" to create the narrative that Russia was attempting to influence the 2016 presidential election, despite information from the intelligence community stating otherwise.
The new documents name former President Barack Obama, top officials in his National Security Council, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, then-CIA Director John Brennan, then-National Security Advisor Susan Rice, then-Secretary of State John Kerry, then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, among others.
Gabbard, on Monday, sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department related to those findings. DOJ officials did not share further details on whom the criminal referral was for.
Gabbard told Fox News Digital that this "is not a partisan issue," but one that "concerns every American."
