They don’t start businesses as much as they once did. They don’t spend time outdoors as they once did. And they live in a society that tells them everything will hurt them. The facts are true. American’s have become lazier, and we are teaching a future generation to be lazy.



Many of you were like me. You grew up working even at a young age. We have however lost this. Just look at how people bring up children today. Often they won’t even let children go outside. One contributing factor to the growing laziness in America is found in the kids.







Today’s Kids and Playing Outside



Do you remember playing outside, all day? I do. We played in creeks and in the woods. Children today spend less time outdoors than any other generation, devoting only four to seven minutes to unstructured outdoor play per day. Kids are spending an average of seven and a half hours in front of electronic media.



Just based on this information alone we can see why kids are becoming lazy. Elected officials constantly tell us about an obesity problem with kids. Maybe some outdoor play would help with this problem.



Safety, not Play



According to a report from 2017 from CNN, all of this is causing the U.S. to stagnate economically and politically.



Tyler Cowen says in his new book: “The Complacent Class: The Self-Defeating Quest for the American Dream.” Growth is far slower than it was in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s and productivity growth is way down, despite everyone claiming they are working so hard.



One chance we may see is that our past generations didn’t talk about how hard they work, they showed it. The work we do today is far less overall than what they did. Most men in the area I grew up in would work a full-time job, then come home and farm.



“Innovation is painful. That’s why we don’t do more of it,” Cowen, a professor of economics at George Mason University, told CNNMoney. His book makes the case that all of the upheavals of the 1960s and 70s caused people to strive for safety and the status quo in the decades after that.



Government Handouts



Another contributor to the issue of laziness is government handouts. In 2018 a total of $851 billion is projected to be spent on welfare programs in America. From 1965 to 2011 the total percentage of GDP spent on welfare programs has quadrupled from .83 percent to 4.4 percent of the total.



Safety that has changed how we work. If you remove hard work from just one generation, it follows in the future generations. This coupled with kids who do not play outside we can see why we have a laziness problem.



A Current Reset on Laziness



There has been one reset on these statistics. Enter Donald Trump. President Trump has hit the reset button on bringing back jobs that President Obama said would never come back. The jobs that require not a college degree, but hard work. Jobs like welding, mining, and technical skills. The jobs that made America great.

Conservative Americans are not in any hurry to raise taxes. As a matter of fact, according to a recent Pew Research Poll, conservatives major concerns were broken down into three major concerns. The third highest major concern among conservatives for the 2020 Presidential election is avoiding tax increases.







The #1 major issue that seems to be of the utmost importance to those on the Conservative side, Illegal Immigration. The key issue of immigration will affect our nation for years to come.



The number two greatest concern for Conservatives for the 2020 Presidental election was Reducing the National Debt. At over $22 trillion dollars and 107% of our GDP, there is no speculation as to why this is such a major concern. However, the poll does not end with just these two.



As most of you have seen recently almost all of the Democratic candidates are in favor of raising your taxes. These tax increases are not small either. The Current Tax Rates



Before we being an in-depth look at our it is important to know where we stand with President Trump. Donald J. Trump ushered in new tax rates after being elected. The tax rates which will be given to you on this podcast are the current tax rates without deductions.







The highest income tax rate for American’s right now is 37%. To find yourself in this tax bracket you would have to have an income of $500,000 if single and $600,000 if married in the year of 2018. The lowest tax rate is my favorite tax rate of 10%. To meet the 10% rate you have to have an income of $9,525 if single, and $19,050 if married.



The Opposing Side



There have been those on social media who have complained about not getting the refund they once did. There is a common sense approach to this. One of several of the deductions were capped at a lower level. For example, your property tax deduction in higher states like New York is currently at $10,000.



This is not favorable to those in larger cities and states that drain income from their citizens through high property taxes. This cap kept those of you from states with lower rates from having to pay a higher rate to subsidize those in higher tax cities and states. This cap works for the majority of Americans across our great land.



The other common sense explanation for decreased returns is also because you paid in less. The typical American may have seen a drop in their return but it is due to them paying in fewer taxes. This keeps more money in your pocket. It also frees up cash in the economy to which you can now spend.



Corporation Taxes



The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) reduced the U.S. federal corporate income tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent. The impact of this tax cut has stimulated the economy, created jobs, and has taken more people off welfare. The evidence is seen in the recent job numbers from March 2019. There were 196,000 jobs added to our already growing economy in March.



America has become more competitive with the world in its tax rate also. At a 35% tax rate companies were fleeing America. Compiled with state taxes and local taxes corporations were seeing a crunch on their bottom line, so they left.

Our federal government has lived by the philosophy that “you can spend your way out of debt” for some time now. As working, tax paying, American’s we know this theory doesn’t work. Podcast 53 discusses the #2 issue to conservatives in the 2020 Presidental election. The Fed’s just keep borrowing more and more and increasing spending at a fevered pace.







A Brief History of our National Debt



In 2000 our National Debt was $5.6 Trillion (55% of our GDP). Today just 19 years later our national debt is $22 Trillion (107% of our GDP). So how did we get here?



Quick milestones of importance. In 2008, for the 1st time ever we crossed the $10 Trillion mark. This equated to 68% of our GDP. The excuse was given that “Obama” was cleaning up the messes left behind by George W. Bush. However, by 2012 we were far much worse off. The National Debt had reached $16 Trillion and became the tipping point reaching 100% of our GDP.



When Obama took office we were $9 trillion in debt, by the end of his presidency $21 Trillion. So where did all the money go? Under the Obama administration socialistic programs grew at a rapid rate. The American job market stalled, and the government became a dad.



Free Stuff under Obama



Do you remember the “Obama Phone” lady? Not to mention the National Affordable Health Care Act. Obamacare ran a tab of almost bankrupted our country alone.



So why is the National Debt a major concern for the conservatives? What does it really matter? Introducing the Gross Domestic Product. For those who do not know what the GDP is. The GDP is the total value of goods produced and services provided in a country during one year. In other words, our national debt has far surpassed the goods produced and the services we provide in our country.



Why not become more Socialist?



So the argument for people like AOC and Beto O’Rourke have become, just spend more. Make government bigger and forget the cost. Well in “imagination” land sure, but we live in the real world.



Americans are constantly told how Europe has it right and we have it wrong. So let’s look at how they are shaping up. Even with our National Debt, in comparison, the EU stinks.



Per capita economic output in the U.S. in 2003 was $37,600-more than 40 percent higher than the $26,600 average for EU-15 nations.



Real economic growth in the U.S. over the past 10 years (3.2 percent average annual growth) has been more than 50 percent faster than EU-15 growth during the same period (2.1 percent).



The U.S. unemployment rate is significantly lower than the EU-15 unemployment rate, and there is a stunning gap in the percentage of unemployed who have been without a job for more than 12 months-3.9 percent in the U.S. versus 41.9 percent in EU-15 nations.



Standard of Living in the European Union



Living standards in the EU are equivalent to living standards in the poorest American states. This is roughly equal to Arkansas and Montana, and only slightly ahead of West Virginia and Mississippi, the two poorest states.

Illegal Immigration







Ending illegal immigration to the United States is the top priority for conservative voters in terms of increasing the American quality of life, a new survey finds.



In the latest comprehensive survey conducted by Pew Research Center, about 65 percent of GOP voters said the highest priority of the Republican Party should be ending illegal immigration and reducing the illegal alien population currently living in the U.S.



Your Paycheck is Affected



Mass illegal and unchecked immigration to the country has stagnated U.S. wages for decades while redistributing the wealth of America’s working and middle class to higher income earners.



The Pew Research survey reveals Republican voters, by a majority, view illegal immigration as a burden to their quality of life that will impact future generations.



Nationwide, there are roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the country. As Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data has revealed, once illegal aliens resettle in the U.S., the overwhelming majority are never deported.



In terms of wage stagnation, research by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has discovered that the country’s mass illegal and legal immigration policy shifts about $500 billion in wages away from working and middle-class Americans.



Every one percent increase in the immigrant composition of an American workers’ occupation reduces their weekly wages by about 0.5 percent. This means the average native-born American worker today has their weekly wages reduced by perhaps 8.5 percent because of current legal immigration levels.



In a state like Florida, where immigrants make up about 25.4 percent of the labor force, American workers have their weekly wages reduced by perhaps more than 12.5 percent. In California, where immigrants make up 34 percent of the labor force, American workers’ weekly wages are reduced by potentially 17 percent.



Likewise, every one percent increase in the immigrant composition of low-skilled U.S. occupations reduces wages by about 0.8 percent. Should 15 percent of low-skilled jobs be held by foreign-born workers, it would reduce the wages of native-born American workers by perhaps 12 percent.



Meanwhile, Trump’s “Hire American” economy has increased blue-collar and middle-class wages by four percent in the last 12 months according to Goldman Sachs. At this rate, Trump could deliver a historic 14 percent wage hike for more than 100 million blue-collar and middle-class Americans before the 2020 presidential election.



The Cost of Illegal Immigration







In 2017, FAIR’s “The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers” report put the total cost of illegal immigration at $135 billion a year. The monthly payout for each illegal would be $937.50.

The American people have been held captive for the last twenty-two months. Twenty-two months of hearing non-stop how our president colluded with a foreign agent. Twenty-two months of how we had an illegitimate president, and he needed to leave office.











Media Pundits



We also had media pundits who constantly told us Robert Mueller was a savior of our country. He was a man of pristine integrity, and character. The special counsel was comprised of “swamp” workers who were bent on bringing Donald Trump down.



Mueller’s Investigation



Mueller noted that, in completing his investigation, he employed 19 lawyers who were assisted by a team. Approximately 40 FBI agents, intelligence forensic accountants, and other professional staff.



The Special Counsel issued more than 2,800 subpoenas. Executed nearly 500 search warrants. And obtained more than 230 orders for communication records.



The special counsel also made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses.



Fake News Media Hype







The harm that the American media has done, they could have shut this down. They chose to side with it instead. They chose to become part of it.



The American mainstream media became a part of the Mueller team. Media pundits became a part of the American counterintelligence apparatus. They became quasi-members of the Obama administration. They became as big an enemy of Donald Trump as the Democrat Party is.



The damage that they have done in the process here is incalculable. What would have been the results in the midterm elections if the Republicans in Congress had fully supported Trump and his agenda in the first two years? How many things might they have accomplished?



Five-hundred-thirty-three thousand articles published on Trump-Russia collusion in the Drive-By Media the past two years. The fake news networks have devoted 2,284 minutes on the probe. All dedicated to a story that was false.

The Media is the Boy Who Cried Wolf



Why would you as an America ever have confidence in these people? It is the old story of the boy who cried wolf. The media gave us a golden shower, pun intended, of a false story. The anti-Trumpers in our country bathed in it.



All the while the important issues have been left out of the narrative. Record unemployment, tax cuts, and defeating ISIS. The narrative worked. It brought in a new wave of Socialist who vowed to impeach Trump. All for a lie.



Now the network of Democrats is scrambling to cover this flop of a story. Don’t believe me? Enter Jussie Smollett.



Jussie Smollett



Tuesday all of the 16 felony charges against Smollett were dropped. All 16.







The Chicago DA, the state attorney, Kim Foxx, who had recused herself from this case, has announced that charges against Jussie Smollett have been dropped, and the police were not consulted.



Smollett insists that he told the truth, even though there is a video of the two Nigerian guys buying the mugging supplies. Buying the supplies with a $3,200 check that Smollett wrote. The rope, the bleach, and the red hat. There is a store surveillance video of this.



Why release this now?

Front Porch Politics was started for one reason. To be a sounding board for those who are the forgotten men and women of this country. The men and women who are private about their life. In a country that constantly makes everything about politics, we are still forgotten. It’s about principles, not a party.



The Constitution







Let me first begin by reminding everyone. The Constitution was written for “We the people.” Not our government. We the people. It was to remind our Federal government that we have unalienable right. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. We want to work, raise our family, and worship God. However, today a recent survey showed that only 1 in 5 high school students knew what the Bill of Rights is.



What Conservatives Stand For



If you listen to any of the news media that exist today you are told conservatism is dead. I openly admit that I am a dinosaur. I know the time-honored traditions I believe in may not be mainstream. What are those traditions? Dad’s matter. Family matters. America has foundational systems. To make America work we must have families, faith, and fight.



You may not can or want to always speak your mind. That is what I am here for. Feel like your friends may not agree with you? I have been there. However, I had enough. Let me give you an example.



I believe in all things we must stand for faith and family. If I cannot stand for God, what can I stand for? I believe that God ordained our country. If that offends you, okay. America without God is not America, and will not stand. It is that simple. Our national morals should be derived from our faith. Should babies be killed? Of course not, but we allow it, and I am for one sick of this.



Life and Moral Stands



Speaking of babies. The family is the foundation of everything 2nd to God. One man, one woman period. It is a God-ordained partnership. It is not easy, but a very rewarding one. My dad told me several times, “Marriage is the hardest job I have ever had.” Without God, you are already fighting a losing battle.



Our loss of these two foundational principles is what is wrong with our country. It is not spending, or taxes, or education. It is the loss of faith and family. God is principled. The family is principled. They are worth fighting for. It is a shame we ever have to fight, but we do.



The Rise of Donald Trump







The rise of Donald Trump was not because of who he was. The rise of Donald Trump came long before he announced. The tea party kicked this off. The everyday forgotten people of America became tired of the system we had. A government that disreguared morals, life, and liberty. We were sick of eight years of a President who was weak. A president who was selling out our country at every turn.



Do you remember the tour Obama made apologizing for America? What a joke. If you are an American, you should believe in our countries exceptionalism. We have given the world more than anyone, outside of religious beliefs.



My point is this. I’m glad McCain and Romney didn’t win. The defeat of these two was a wake-up call to you and I. A wake-up call that if we didn’t get our ship high in transit toget...

The “Super Progressive” Democrat Socialist candidate for President Beto O’Rourke has officially announced. His actual name is Robert Francis O’Rourke. He chooses the name Beto to appeal to the Hispanic population. No one is fooled. Robert Francis has, however, hit a new high in campaign contributions. He raised $6.1 million in just 24 hours. So what is the appeal to Democrats with Beto?



Saving the World



Beto is pushing this whole poo-poo idea of Climate change is going to kill us all. If you follow our social media, we shared a story from 1989. The story tells how by 2000 the world is destroyed and mass migration has taken place, according to the UN. This is the same crap he is pushing.







Beto has announced that in 12 years over 6 billion people will be displaced by climate change. He continues that mass starvation has taken place, and the earth is almost uninhabitable. * Supporting the abolition of for-profit and private prisons.* Supporting a ban on so-called assault weapons.

* Supporting a proposal to allow anyone who wants to enroll in a Medicare-like insurance plan the option to do so.

The words of Jesus hold true today, just as they did when he spoke them. Let us always remember to never be ashamed of our Savior. HR6 immigration act also known as the “American Dream and Promise Act 2019” gives protection to those who came into our country illegally. Rep. Mark Takano stated it was a moral act that Republicans didn’t have the morals to do.

Don’t Believe the Lies



Under the Obama administration, more deportations took place than under President Trump. President Trump is labeled a racist, and anti-immigrant.



However, this is not factual. I know who would think a Democrat like Pelosi would lie. The truth is under President Obama in 2016, ICE removed 240,255 people from the country. A rate of more than 20,000 people per month.



This was not the highest year. In 2012, the peak year for deportations under Obama, the agency removed an average of roughly 34,000 people per month.



Immigration Act HR6



The new legislation would return DACA and TPS status to anyone who lost it under the Trump administration. The law does not stop there. It gives easy access to citizenship to those who are either DACA or TPS.



DACA’s Failure







When Obama signed the executive order for DACA he did not provide a pathway to citizenship. So while conservatives are labels as immoral, it was a Liberal who roadblocked their citizenship. This is a political play by Pelosi, blame someone else.



So how hard is it to get citizenship? That is a great question. If you ask Pelosi it is almost impossible. The truth in the matter is it is not. It is not if you do it legally. This bill is not about legal immigration at all. It is about rewarding those who have already broken our laws. Here are the requirements to be a United States citizen:



* Have had a Permanent Resident (Green) Card for at least five years, or for at least three years if you’re filing as the spouse of a U.S. citizen* If you apply for naturalization less than six months before your Permanent Resident Card expires, or do not apply for naturalization until your card has already expired, you must renew your card.* You can apply for naturalization before you receive your new Green Card, but you’ll need to submit a photocopy of the receipt of your Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card when you receive it.* Meet certain eligibility requirements including being* At least 18 years old at the time of filing* Able to read, write, and speak basic English* A person of good moral character* Go through the ten-step naturalization process which includes* Determining your eligibility to become an American citizen* Preparing and submitting form N-400, the application for naturalization* Taking the U.S. Naturalization Test and having a personal interview



Pelosi’s Guest Speakers



When Pelosi introduced this bill she had two illegal immigrants speak at the news conference. One speaker stated he had been in our country for 19 years. In the 19 years he was here, why did he not work toward getting citizenship? The reason is here was here illegally. So do not hold anyone accountable, just write laws to reward breaking our laws.

Operation Varsity Blues



Fifty people, including Hollywood stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, were charged Tuesday in a scheme in which wealthy parents allegedly bribed college coaches and other insiders to get their children into some of the nation’s most elite schools.



Federal authorities called it the biggest college admissions scam ever prosecuted by the U.S. Justice Department, with the parents accused of paying an estimated $25 million in bribes.



“These parents are a catalog of wealth and privilege,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling said in announcing the results of an investigation code-named Operation Varsity Blues.



The scandal is certain to inflame longstanding complaints that children of the wealthy and well-connected have the inside track in college admissions — sometimes through big, timely donations from their parents — and that privilege begets privilege.



Leftist Elites Arrested



At least nine athletic coaches and 33 parents, many of them prominent in law, finance or business, were among those charged. Dozens, including Huffman, were arrested by midday.



The coaches worked at such schools as Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, Wake Forest, the University of Texas, the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles. A former Yale soccer coach pleaded guilty and helped build the case against others.



Cheaters Never Win…in the End

Prosecutors said parents paid an admissions consultant from 2011 through last month to bribe coaches and administrators to falsely make their children look like star athletes to boost their chances of getting into college. The consultant also hired ringers to take college entrance exams for students and paid off insiders at testing centers to alter students’ scores.



Parents spent anywhere from $200,000 to $6.5 million to guarantee their children’s admission, officials said.



“For every student admitted through fraud, an honest and genuinely talented student was rejected,” Lelling said.



Several defendants, including Huffman, were charged with conspiracy to commit fraud, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.



I do not see my Alma Mater Jacksonville State University on this list. I am guessing this is because it is not Elitist enough.



The Super Progressives and Pelosi



On everything from the Green New Deal to impeachment to criticism of Israel, a squad of first-year congresswomen is flexing their muscle and posing an implicit challenge to Democratic honchos like Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Their stridently liberal agenda and power to steer the national conversation via social media and press attention has fueled tensions inside the party tent that in turn are testing leadership’s control while stirring political concerns going into 2020.
