Tensions in the Mideast have been escalating recently and got another push as Iran announced that it will break uranium stockpile limits set under the 2015 nuclear deal within the next 10 days. This comes at a time when the U.S. has blamed Iran for attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman last week. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that the US is weighing a range of options for how to deal with Iran. Marisa Fernandez, reporter for Axios, joins us for more.
Next, an odd story of a man suing a Scottsdale cryonics company for $1 million and the return of his dad’s frozen head. Kurt Pilgeram’s father paid a company called Alcor Life Extension Foundation to preserve his body at subzero temperatures in the hope that future technology might be able to restore his life, it is called cryonics. Kurt thought that his father’s full body was to be preserved, but was shocked when the company sent back the ashes of his body and only froze his head. Karl Puckett, reporter for the Great Falls Tribune, joins us for Pilgeram’s fight to get all of his father’s remains.
