State controlled education is more about social programming, than reading and writing (at least if you read John Dewey). Social reconstruction happens by way of the education system, as long as everybody is nicely plugged into the matrix. It is an attempt by the state to achieve total sovereignty over all things. But the state is not sovereign. God is sovereign. Indeed, God still stuffs the ballot boxes on election day. Yet, we still have the responsibility to elect leaders who stand for righteousness. Here is a good reminder of how Christians should view politics and elections.
