Container Techno Podcast

Antonio Vázquez is a DJ and music producer from Seville (Spain) based in Berlin since 2011. He started producing in 1998. When he moved to Madrid two years later, he began to play. There he had different chances to play in different bars and events, until he got the opportunity to play at Cassette Club on the inauguration party followed by several times afterwards. His style was always focused on environmental and organic sounds, shifting sometimes on more minimalistic and electro tones. The productions were always different styles because of his eclectic music taste and because he made different works for advertisements and websites.

It was though when he arrived to Berlin and after meeting really inspiring friends that he developed his style into deep techno. After his podcast for T_Mood, he experienced a really fast and increasing success playing at ://about blank multiple times in different events, in Manchester at Komme, Pseucho Club in Leipzig and specially he had the biggest chance to play three times at Berghain. He has also performed in many different places around Europe and Berlin, including Tresor, and his productions started to be released in Shaded Explorations, Hypnus Records and Semantica. Antonio is currently a member of the Hypnus Records family and he is preparing more productions and EP's.

End Train is a London based Dj and LIVE act, producing more than one track per day. Whether he is playing with 4 decks and his sampler or his 2 hour live set with synths and a coffee machine, his music stretches the boundaries of techno with deep and fat bass, melancholic sounds and energetic drums.

End Train has been heavily involved in the free parties scene for years where he started by playing 250+ bpm distorted hardcore industrial. With time, an almost innate passion for techno built up and shaped the artist’s own vision. “There is something about abandoned factories that connects with people in a deep, tribal and guttural manner. Techno encapsulate the essence of this connection by letting cold machines create their own soul that in turn, connects to humans”.

People refer to End Train’s music as colourful and high-energy, built on a solid kick and bassline.

Together with Flaminia he founded Ways to Die records and Metempsychosis records in 2015 and 2017 respectively, to promote techno in various shapes and form from industrial to deep and broken and inspire people to move toward the lives they want.

Shadowcomplex​ ​was​ ​born​ ​as​ ​a​ ​drummer,​ ​with​ ​punk​ ​and​ ​metal​ ​influences​ ​of​ ​the​ ​period. Retaining​ ​the​ ​power​ ​and​ ​strength​ ​of​ ​these​ ​earlier​ ​genres,​ ​Shadowcomplex​ ​steps​ ​into the​ ​exploration​ ​of​ ​electronic​ ​music,​ ​through​ ​its​ ​darkest​ ​and​ ​most​ ​extreme​ ​territories. Techno,​ ​Industrial​ ​and​ ​Experimental​ ​soon​ ​became​ ​languages,​ ​communicative​ ​mediums for​ ​sound​ ​exploration​ ​and​ ​representation.

Also​ ​producing​ ​under​ ​the​ ​Bosh​ ​alias​ ​since​ ​2013,​ ​the​ ​Shadowcomplex​ ​project​ ​made traction​ ​in​ ​2016​ ​with​ ​an​ ​acid-leaning​ ​contribution​ ​to​ ​Variant​ ​Electronic’s​ ​VA002.​ ​2017 marked​ ​the​ ​release​ ​of​ ​two​ ​acclaimed​ ​EP’s,​ ​a​ ​five-track​ ​return​ ​on​ ​Waterford-based​ ​label, Variant​ ​Electronic,​ ​entitled​ ​“Under​ ​Siege”,​ ​and​ ​a​ ​self-titled,​ ​two-track​ ​debut​ ​on Paris-based,​ ​RND.​ ​Records.​ ​Both​ ​works​ ​continue​ ​to​ ​define​ ​distinct​ ​characteristics, metallic​ ​swords,​ ​haunting​ ​choirs,​ ​cinematic​ ​atmospheres,​ ​power​ ​electronics​ ​and industrialised​ ​drums.

Worg is an electronic music producer, sound designer and live performer based in Rome.

He explores sounds that range from experimental techno through industrial approaching deep techno.

Captivating textures, persistent rhythm and metallic discordance merge both live and during studio production.

Noise, smooth pads, distortions, drones and slight and hypnotic melodies are the characteristic elements of his music, giving particular attention to search both complex and distinct sonorities which are never banal.

These heterogeneous elements give life to a deep sound enveloped in a dark gloomy haze.

His attempt is to accompany the audience in a voyage through oniric and spectral soundscapes. Dystopian places and fantasies located in imaginative habitats, result in Worg's vision.

He graduated in Electronic Music Composition, at Saint Louis College of Music in Rome.

Worg released his music on labels such as Concrete Records, Trivmvirate, Absolute Records, Mitten Records, Enslavement and Pyteca.

Exilles is a project born from the alchemy of two minds, united by a common desire to undermine, compose and recompose deep techno sounds with a mystical and enigmatic imagery. They strictly perform live, orchestrating ancestral ceremonies with analog machines and modular synthesizers, whose dark and hypnotic sounds chase the persistent in a synesthetic atmosphere.

A millennial stronghold, where space and time seem to crystallize. Exilles invites you to enter the wide entrance, built with thundorous, corrosive kick and neurotic sounds. Proceed to enter a maze of tunnels, stairs, niches that emerge from the hypnotic sounds from the floor and clinging on to it, little by little, airy and seductive melodies, inviting you to go even deeper.

And then that telluric rhythms became more tight and you find yourself trapped, breathless, paralyzed: a crypt, a man. The face covered with a mask. The sound waves become ink and pervade the body, helpless, wrapped in a dream synth tangle. The assertive kick back lashing his shots, with the ritual ending. The crossing to escape has finally opened.

This is the imagination of Exilles, which with its techno built around the polarity of light and darkness, black and white, continuously keeps us poised between opposites, between consciousness and raving.

An Italian techno duo and one based in Berlin, Nothing Is Real is a collaboration between long-time bass music producers, D-Operation Drop and Spacedrome with a fundamentally clean-cut focus on the live facets of techno music and digital arts taking care of building up and producing 3D Video Mapping,

Drawing on early influences from sub-heavy sound system culture, through the energetic UK styles of the past 20 years, and on to the pulsating techno scene in their new homecity, Nothing Is Real fuses a vast musical inspiration and with years of production experience to create dynamic, raw and driving techno.

Having spent most waking hours since the project’s on-set in early 2016, building elements, writing tracks, videos and enhancing their live performance, Nothing Is Real is currently accepting live bookings.

Se cercate Phooka lo troverete sicuramente nel suo studio, davanti allo schermo del laptop circondato dalle sue “amate macchine”. Da quando, appena maggiorenne, si trasferisce a Bologna incomincia ad interessarsi alla musica elettronica: Warp, idm e abstract hip hop sono del resto i suoi primi amori. Col passare del tempo, la voglia di trovare nuove “patch” e diversi “beat” lo porta ad evolvere il suo stile, trasformando ogni suo live in una performance sempre diversa ma sempre all’altezza.

Decisivo l’incontro con Andrea Sartori, con il quale da vita all’Homework, collettivo nel quale convergeranno artisti come: Touane, Rstone, Shaduz e Ape on Tapes.

Negli anni si esibisce in diversi festival (Elettrowave, Dancity Festival, Homework Festival, Play Festival) e club (il Goa a Roma, il Link a Bologna, il Seeone a Londra ecc), dividendo il palco con artisti internazionali quali: Ritchie Hawtin, Pan sonic, Akiko Kiyama, Noze, Kalabrese, Bruno Pronsato, Dasha Rush e molti altri.

Trasferitosi a Roma, dopo un’esperienza con la Beatperminute Rec., fonda nel 2010 insieme ad altri artisti la Concrete Records, nuova etichetta indipendente il cui stile non si configura come un punto di arrivo, ma come identità in movimento che si evolve nei diversi generi dell’attuale musica elettronica.

Andi (@andi80s) is a DJ and writer living in New York City. As the founder of the dark synth and industrial party, SYNTHICIDE, she has been cultivating the dark electronic scene at Brooklyn's notorious venue Bossa Nova Civic Club since 2014. Combining her underground 1980s obsession with industrial, EBM, dark techno and new beat music, Andi's specific sound is sleazy, aggressive and unarguably danceable.

Anja Zaube can look back on a long DJ-bio already. After first appearances as ‘Nanday’ in the leftwinged

underground of Berlin, she took a short break and had a come-back to the turntables in 2008

under her own name. She’s often seen in Berlin’s top-clubs, from which mostly to be heard in

://about blank.

After playing different genres of electronic dance music, Anja‘s sound turned darker and harder.

Her interpretation of Techno is deep, bleak, but also industrial and experimental. That‘s what makes

her sound unique and what finally got her several bookings in Berghain already and made her a

popular DJ in the Berlin Underground Techno Scene.

After her first release on://about blank’s celebration sampler, she also released her first EP on the

label HET, named Sylvan Structes EP. In January 2016 she launched her own label Nemorous Rec.

in collaboration with Dim_Light - which has a more experimental approach to techno. A third

release is already in the pipeline one with more to come.
