In this thoughtful truck ride episode, I explore the often-contemplated question many preppers face: is dropping out of society the answer? I share my personal journey from being an extrovert in my younger years to becoming increasingly introverted as life experiences shaped my worldview. Through personal stories from my time as a school administrator, I reveal how negative interactions with people can make the homesteading lifestyle and complete separation from society seem appealing. As a Christian Prepper, I discuss the spiritual tension between wanting to be a John the Baptist vs Jesus. For those feeling the pull to drop out of society completely, I offer perspective on how to navigate these complex feelings, especially during these challenging times when people are searching for hope. This episode speaks to the heart of many preppers who feel torn between self-sufficiency in isolation and maintaining their connections and responsibilities to others. Whether you're considering homesteading as an escape or simply struggling with the idea of remaining engaged in a difficult world, this episode offers both understanding and spiritual guidance for the Christian Prepper journey.
