In the prepping world, we love our gear. We train. We stockpile. We have bug-out bags packed like puzzle boxes and caches hidden in the woods. But when the storm hits, the grid goes down, or your plan gets blindsided by reality, there’s only one skill that always matters:

The Warning Signs Are Everywhere Empty shelves used to be rare. Now they’re just part of the background noise. Delays, shortages, and “out of stock” notices are no longer the exception—they’re the new normal. In Episode 404, we’re talking about what’s breaking down globally, what it means for you, and what you should be buying and stockpiling right now before it gets even worse.

In Episode 338, Glen and Shelby go through the stout list of prepping projects our Patreons are working on this spring. In the After Show, we tell you what we’re working on to keep the goodness going. In prepping circles, the idea of bugging out has almost become a religion. There’s something exciting about the thought of grabbing your bag, disappearing into the woods, and living off the land while society burns. But here’s the hard truth: bugging out is your worst option most of the time. In Episode 403, we’re breaking down why bugging in—staying home, defending your turf, and riding out the storm—is usually the smarter, safer, and more realistic play for survival.

Patrick takes the Prepping Academy helm once again with a new episode of Grid Down Comms Up. In breaking world news massive power outages in in Spain impact communications infrastructure sending some residents looking for portable radios to receive information. This episode looks at commercially available information sources that have been hardened by FEMA to survive disasters, EMP's and national blackouts too. Do you know where to turn to if internet and cell service stops? What information should you have available before the grid goes down?

Most gear lists are filled with flashy gadgets and overpriced gimmicks that look great on Instagram but never leave your shelf. In Episode 402, we’re cutting the fluff and breaking down the real tools preppers actually use—day in, day out. This isn’t your wish list. This is your toolbelt.
