What if the preps you've carefully gathered are quietly deteriorating while you go about your daily life? For Christian preppers who have invested time, resources, and prayer into building a solid foundation of preparedness, the sobering reality is that neglected supplies and unchecked systems can fail at the worst possible moment. From cracked food storage containers to outdated emergency binders to smoke alarms with dead batteries, your carefully assembled preps may not perform when you need them most. In this episode, Todd addresses a critical oversight that affects preppers at every experience level: the silent decay that happens when we treat preparedness as a one-time event rather than an ongoing stewardship responsibility. Drawing from real examples shared within the RYF exclusive email group, this discussion explores how even veteran preppers can lose track of the condition of their supplies simply because time moves faster than we realize. The solution isn't more gear or more food storage—it's a systematic approach to scheduling your preparedness activities so nothing falls through the cracks. If you're serious about taking care of your preps rather than just accumulating them, this episode offers a framework that ensures your investment in prepping actually serves you when circumstances demand it. In Ep4, we take some time and work our way through a grid failure as a result of our heavily divided national politics and the powder keg we’re all sitting on waiting for the next wave of civil unrest. We’ve all seen this scenario play out. Some of you may have even survived it. The Summer of Love on 2020 and the assortment of ICE protests in 2025 as the most recent examples… and it’s always the same. It starts with a protest. A crowd gathers downtown — angry, loud, frustrated about one thing or another. Police form a line. Someone throws a bottle. Someone else lights a flare. There’s spitting and shouting… smoke bombs, tear gas, and non-lethal measures deployed. Within minutes, the protest becomes a riot. Within hours, the riot becomes a citywide emergency. And by nightfall, the governor has activated the National Guard. But this isn’t one city. It’s not one issue. It’s happening in dozens of places at once — each with its own spark, its own grievances, its own momentum. And as the unrest spreads, something becomes clear: This isn’t a moment. It’s a fracture. A sign that the political fabric of the nation is tearing — and no one knows how far the tear will go.

What if the very thing that sets Christian preppers apart from everyone else isn't the gear we stockpile or the skills we develop, but the certainty of knowing where we ultimately end up? The unknown terrifies many in the preparedness community, driving endless acquisition and anxiety-fueled planning. But the Bible offers something far more grounding than any supply cache ever could. In this episode, Todd walks through one of Scripture's most powerful prophecies, tracing the promise of "God with us" from the anxious days of King Ahaz through the birth of Christ and into the eternal reality described in Revelation. Along the way, he unpacks why understanding biblical prophecy isn't just theological exercise but essential perspective for anyone serious about preparedness. When Christian preppers grasp where their story ends, it fundamentally changes how they approach every emergency, every uncertainty, and every fear that the world throws their way. If you've ever found yourself overwhelmed by all the potential scenarios you're trying to prepare for, this episode offers the recalibration your preparedness mindset may need. True readiness isn't just about surviving what comes next—it's about knowing who you belong to and where you're headed when all is said and done. Resources

Today, we’re shifting to another pillar of modern civilization: **the economy**. Most Americans think of the economy as something abstract — stock tickers, interest rates, inflation numbers. But the truth is simple: The economy is the system that moves food, fuel, medicine, and money. When it breaks, everything breaks. This episode is about how economic collapse happens, what it looks like on the ground, and how ordinary Americans can prepare for the shockwaves that follow.

In this shocking exposé, we delve into the disturbing trend of infiltrators spying on churches, gun clubs, and veteran organizations. These seemingly safe spaces are being targeted by individuals and groups with ulterior motives, posing a significant threat to the privacy and security of their members. From undercover operatives to cyber snoops, we'll explore the various methods being used to gather intelligence and compromise the trust of these communities. Join us as we shed light on this alarming phenomenon and discuss the implications for freedom of speech, assembly, and association. With expert insights and real-life examples, this video aims to raise awareness and prompt a call to action to protect these vital institutions from the prying eyes of infiltrators. Whether you're a devout churchgoer, a gun enthusiast, or a veteran, this video is a must-watch for anyone concerned about their rights and freedoms. If you’re into preparedness, liberty, and keeping your community safe, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. 🔥 Like, Subscribe, and Hit the Bell for more survival tips, badass stories, and off-grid hacks. 🎙️ Listen to the Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/4YdMrZ4oWTPKv4YrcZgExg 📲 Follow Us: 🔹 https://survivalandbasicbadasspodcast.com/ 🔹 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/15wU8rw6hS/ Don't let uncertainty overwhelm you. As the year winds down, it’s the perfect time to pause and honestly evaluate your preparedness journey. In this episode, I share three powerful reflection questions designed to help you examine what truly moved the needle in your preps this year—and what might have been little more than busy work. If you’ve ever felt like you’re spinning your wheels or wonder if your efforts are focused on the right things, this conversation is for you as you start prepping in 2026! I also tackle a tough topic that might ruffle some feathers: the difference between preparing for probable scenarios versus fantasy-level events. The truth is, if most of your energy goes toward that one catastrophic possibility, you might be ignoring the everyday disruptions that are far more likely to affect you. Plus, I close out with a quote from Albert Einstein that perfectly captures why preparedness isn’t just about you—it’s about the people whose lives depend on your readiness. Listen to the episode to hear all three reflection questions and start your year with clarity. Topics Covered

• Why the holiday season is an ideal time for preparedness reflection
• The danger of settling into a rut with your preparedness efforts
• The current feeling that “everyone and everything seems on edge” heading into 2026
• How threat assessment should evolve with experience rather than staying static
• The “fantasy prepping” trap and why it keeps people from building real resilience
• How preparing for common events (hurricanes, storms) covers most of what you actually need

Reflection Questions from this Episode

• Looking back at the beginning of this year, what was your biggest preparedness concern, and does that same concern still top your list today or has your perspective shifted?
• When you think about the preparedness actions you took this year, which single step gave you the most genuine peace of mind, and which ones felt more like busywork in retrospect?
• What percentage of your preparedness efforts this year went toward planning for unlikely catastrophic events versus building capacity for the likely disruptions you actually face regularly?
