Special Notes: Has to be said again — we were so lucky to have the witty, charming, eloquent Adam on our show. You can find him @theadamgoldman in the Twitterverse and he’s witty, charming and eloquent there too.
Stardew is such a lovely and complete little gem of a game, which makes it all the more impressive that it was conceived and developed by one person — known as “ConcernedApe”, he’s Eric Barone and you should check him out (and buy a copy). He even did the lovely score for Chrissakes!!
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to plant some crops. There’s time until winter yet!

Special Notes: We date ourselves a bit in this episode — since recording, Gwent has announced a single-player campaign that launches tomorrow (!) on PC and soon on console! To those of you who had no idea what we were yelling about for 80% of the episode, we’re truly sorry. Next time we’re doing a very cute, fun and accessible game about farming and true love. This time, though, we had to go full dork. As Dandelion would say: THANKS, MY FRIENDS!!!

Special Notes: Aaron apologizes for calling the listeners of this podcast “viewers” in this episode after last time calling them “readers”. He has been punished.
This goes out to our mothers. We love you and wouldn’t be who we are without you. We’re sorry we talk about banging people in this podcast so much, it just sort of happened that way.
Finally — Guerrilla Games, HUT!

Special Notes: Such love, such pain, such fury, such dependency. We love/need/revile this game. Play with us sometime.
For non-players, see this link for a visual aid when we’re describing the characters. Look!! Aren’t they cool/hot/hamsters??

Spoilers abound for Detroit in here so be warned. This is a kind of sort of recent game, too!

Special Notes: This polarizing game turned us into major fangirl/boys and we’re not ashamed to admit it. The episode speaks to this in many ways (cough cough weloveyouconnor cough cough), but somehow we didn’t give much of a shoutout in the episode to the three amazing composers who created the music for Detroit, Nima Fakhrara (Connor’s dark thriller music of a droid trying to hold it all together YES), Philip Sheppard (Kara’s music of pain and love and longing and motherhood YES) and John Paesano (Markus’s revolution music time to do some rappelling YES). The music for this game is excellent, better than most major films, and if you have time to track it down you really should.
OK kids, be safe, until next time — and stay off that goddam RED ICE!!!
