Are we entering the Age of water... water consciousness? Long gone are the days of drinking naturally pure water from flowing rivers and streams—or even your tap. Today it is becoming common practice to use bottled or filtered water. How did we arrive at such a state, and what can we do about it? Here we discuss diverse topics such as: water’s role in the origin of the universe and life itself; cosmic rain and water in interstellar space; water in the traditional myths and religions; the power of water in its many forms in the natural world; vortex energy and living water; water and the human body; water healing; and a history of water pollution.
William E. Marks ( 1948 -2016) Worked with water for most of his life. To experience firsthand the status of America’s waters. he made a meandering 7,000-mile horseback journey from San Diego to Maine. He also studied industrial pollution and historical water management practices in Europe, North Africa, Mexico, Canada, Ireland, and Australia. He was an environmental water analyst briefly for the City of Newark, New Jersey, and for 15 years he operated a water-testing and research laboratory and an environmental consulting firm on Martha’s Vineyard. He is also the founding publisher and editor of Martha’s Vineyard Magazine.

Sir Martin Rees presents scientific evidence that our vast universe may be only a grain of sand on the infinite cosmic shore. It is now widely accepted that our universe exploded around 15 billion years ago from an unimaginably energetic initial event: the big bang. As the primordial material expanded and cooled it evolved into the exquisite patterns of stars and galaxies we now observe.
Martin Rees is a leading researcher on cosmic evolution black holes and galaxies. He has himself originated many key ideas and brings a unique perspective to themes discussed in this book. He is a Fellow of Trinity College and Emeritus Professor of Cosmology and Astrophysics at the University of Cambridge Currently Rees later became Royal Society Research Professor at Cambridge (1992–2003) and then professor of cosmology and astrophysics in 2002. In 1992 he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.

Creation Spirituality is the idea that divinity permeates all things, and all things have the imprint of divinity, yet the sum of all things does not fully encompass the mystery of the divine.
Matthew Fox states, “as a movement, Creation Spirituality becomes an amazing gathering place, a kind of watering hole for persons whose passion has been touched by the issues of our day – deep ecologists, ecumenists, artists, native peoples, justice activists, feminists, male liberationists, gay and lesbian peoples, animal liberationists, scientists seeking to reconnect science and wisdom, people of prophetic faith traditions – all these find in the Creation Spirituality movement a common language and a common ground on which to stand.”
Often called a spirituality of earth and cosmos CS views creation as primary revelation that is perpetually emerging. Fox asserts that this creation-centered consciousness can be sought and found in the oldest traditions of the Hebrew Bible and especially in the reflections of medieval Christian mystics such as Meister Eckhart (c. 1260–1327) Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179) Julian of Norwich (1342–c. 1415) and Mechtild of Magdeburg (1210–1280).
Matthew Fox is an American priest and theologian. Formerly a member of the Dominican Order within the Catholic Church he became a member of the Episcopal Church following his expulsion from the order in 1993.Fox has written 35 books that have been translated into 68 languages.

How can we better understand the Aborginal people of Australia? The history of Indigenous Australians began at least 70,000 years ago when humans first populated the Australian continental landmasses. Aboriginal Australians are the various Indigenous peoples of the Australian mainland and many of its islands. Many Australian Aboriginal cultures have or traditionally had a manually coded language, a signed counterpart of their oral language.
Sean Cahill, anthropologist, completed fieldwork in central Australia, field work from 1960 - 1965. He received a National Foundation grant to study sign language of the Aborgines. Here he shares the Aboriginal worldview, which is seen as a circle with all things in the world being connected. In this circle are spirituality, values, knowledge, culture, oral traditions, language, governance, and natural world.

What is the history of the human soul? What is its future? And what is our individual role within the collective whole, particularly in today's world of unprecedented change? Robert Keck frames a compelling science of a collective soul that investigates the deep causal values determining why certain beliefs and behaviors become culturally dominant. How do we embrace the emergent values and a reconnection to nature, democratization of power, respect for diversity and inclusivity, and the expansion of self, to name a few?
Robert Keck was an evolutionary theologian, an independent scholar, and a leading religious thinker, lecturer, and seminar leader. Keck was a United Methodist minister, served on the medical school faculty of The Ohio State University, and was president of Boulder Graduate School. He was also the author of Sacred Eyes.

The history of early sacred music and the forces that shaped it is a fascinating area of research. From Gregorian Chanting to vocal toning and the power of the 5 notes in the pentatonic scale, the spirit of music opens us to something sacred within. Toning is a form of vocalizing that utilizes the natural voice to open vowel sounds and humming on the full exhalation of the breath. Music therapists are increasingly utilizing toning in their clinical practice for a variety of therapeutic aims.
Vocalist-Percussionist George Grant has used his diverse background in world music, jazz-fusion, improvisation, sacred vocal music, creative writing, nature education, and movement and music as meditation to develop alternatives in well-being, self-healing, stress reduction, team building, and life skills.

Indigenous cultures have used plant based hallucinogens for thousands of years as part of their cultural, spiritual, or healing traditions. Dr. Rick Strassman conducted research involved the powerful naturally-occurring compound, DMT – N,N-dimethyltryptamine. Led to this substance through his earlier study of the pineal gland as a potential biological locus for spiritual experiences, he administered several hundred doses of DMT to approximately 60 volunteers between 1990 and 1995.
Strassman was the first person in the United States to undertake human research with psychedelic, hallucinogenic, or entheogenic substances with his research on N,N-dimethyltryptamine, also known as DMT. He wrote about this research in the popular book, DMT: The Spirit Molecule, which has sold over 100,000 copies, has been translated into 12 languages.

Karen Kelly is a part of a group in England of looking for the ancestral shamanic roots of shamanism in Europe. They looked to the history, anthropology, folklore, and religious studies to fully explore the ancient roots of shamanistic practice in Europe. Using the clues in old Norse accounts and legends, they have revived song, ceremonial and divination practices. Looking at the practice of Seithr “seiðr" is believed to be a form of magic which is related to both the telling and the shaping of the future.
