Today I get to sit down with an all around amazing and talented dude, Josh Gilmer ladies and gentlemen! Josh and I right away had so much to discuss considering we are one of the same. We both have an incredible passion for the world of cinema and the art of performing. Growing up in a small town Josh new he was ready to break out of his shell and hit the big leagues. We’re talking Hollywood baby! Acting wasn’t the first thing Josh imagined he’d be taking as a career path but he fell in love with the craft and has been pursuing it ever since. We talk about the pressure working on film, preparing for a role, committing to your work, and completely trusting yourself to get the job done even if doubt carries a heavy toll. Because at the end of the day its “Go Big or Go Home”…. (walks away in slow motion while car explodes in the background without looking back… even though you really want to)

Comedy is the reason why Matt got into entertainment in the first place. Starting off as a straight laced business man, Matt realized working in comedy was waaaaay better (obviously). He realized right away not only was comedy something he truly loved to do, but that he was pretty damn good at it. Matt started doing sketch comedy and improv at USC where he was able to explore his funny side, making his presence in the comedy community, and pursuing it ever since. We’ll discuss our favorite live experiences, why comedy is important in life, what our families probably think of us, and why the fuck everyone listens to Joe Rogan. We talk about all the benefits of living in California, why Terminator 2 is the best movie ever, his first time driving, and why he believes he’s still learning (aka he might be a crappy driver, so watch out angelenos). I sit down with actor, director, lover (maybe, I don't know), and all around creative guy, Alex Vergel. He tells us what it was like growing up in Japan, Hawaii, and California, and why is wasn’t always easy to fit in. As he put it “I was too American for Japan and too Japanese for America.” Using film and televison as an escape, it inspired him to work professionally as an actor and director, and he shares the visceral experiences he’s had as an artist. Also, we discuss our obsession with films from the 80’s and the peak of Nicolas Cage. We agree score music is the best music, and we talk real books (the comic-book kind of course).
