Today, Aubrey Stoll joins us on Episode 5 of Conversations with Cam. Aubrey is from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she met Cam in high school. Aubrey studied speech pathology at the University of Cincinnati, and now is pursuing her doctorate at Ohio State University in audiology.
In this episode, we go in-depth into Aubrey’s mental health journey, which started in 2nd grade. We talk about what she does to control her anxiety, such as going on runs and going to therapy. We also talk about some of our funny drinking stories, and how sometimes this can lead to hangxiety.

June 09, 2021 Episode 4: Recovery Isn’t Linear || Eating Disorders and Creating Boundaries with Anna Slattery

Today, Anna Slattery joins us on Episode 4 on Conversations with Cam. Anna & I met through Chi Omega, which is a sorority at Ohio State. She is a senior at OSU, majoring in fashion & retail studies with a minor in psychology. Although this episode has a LOT of laughter and catch-up, we dive deep into her mental health journey through the last few years of her life. Anna has been diagnosed with OSFED, which is “Other Specified Feed and Eating Disorder.” She talks about the significant health effects that can be an effect of eating disorders, such as her severe osteoporosis. One tangible thing that Anna does to help with her mental health is separating herself from the voice inside her head. The eating disorder community often refers to this voice as “ED”. Anna talks about getting treatment, creating boundaries with others, and how to help someone struggling. The last ten minutes of this episode are Anna & I catching up on her most recent life crisis event— her college house getting robbed.

Today, Andrew Warman joins us on Episode 3 of Conversations with Cam. Andrew is originally from Michigan and is currently a senior at Ohio State University studying Architecture. In this episode, we cover a lot of mental health topics ranging from his mental health journey, OCD, depression, panic attacks, and tangible things Andrew does to check in with his mental health such as taking medication and going to therapy. We dive deep into OCD to help educate others on what is it like to have intrusive thoughts and how to try and stop them. Lastly, Andrew talks about how to truly help someone struggling with their mental health, and we can start by asking "How are you, really?"
