In this episode, I sit down with a professional stuntwoman Talyn Edelson to talk about her journey in the industry.

We start by discussing the importance of self-awareness and how it can help in navigating career paths in the stunt industry. Talyn then shares how she fell in love with stunts and how her background in martial arts has helped her in her work.

We also delve into the technical aspects of stunts, including the use of weapons in film and the importance of costume padding for safety. Talyn also talks about the use of foam walls in stunts and the process of choreographing fight scenes.

As the action film industry continues to evolve, we discuss the need for stunts to be recognized with an Oscar category. Talyn also emphasizes the importance of acting skills for stunt performers and shares her experiences of stunt doubling as acting.

We then shift the conversation to the longevity of a stunt performer's career and our guest provides valuable advice for up-and-coming stunt women on ramping up their workouts and networking.
