  1. Number 1: Dental Issues Don't Start in Your Teeth with Nirvani Umadat - 8/12/26

In this webinar, Nirvani Umadat opens with the topic “Moving Beyond Bacteria and Brushing for Whole Body Dentistry.” She explains that the session will examine the common dental story that bacteria and sugar cause cavities, look at why brushing and flossing have become the central focus of dental care, and offer a different way to understand teeth, the mouth, and their relationship to the rest of the body. Highlights from this session include: -Nirvani shares her background in conventional dental training, surgery, and later experiences that led her to question the bacteria-centered model of dental disease. -She discusses research and clinical observations that challenged the idea that “bad bacteria” or “too many bad bacteria” consistently explain dental disease. -She explains how the modern recommendation to brush twice daily was shaped, in part, by early toothpaste marketing around biofilm removal, rather than being purely grounded in dental science. -A discussion of Weston Price’s work, including his observations that diet, food quality, traditional food preparation, grass-fed animal foods, fermented foods, and unprocessed foods played a major role in dental and overall health. -Nirvani reframes teeth as electrically conductive crystalline organs, explaining that teeth contain a crystalline hydroxyapatite structure and generate current through pressure and chewing. -She explains cavities as a breakdown or deconstruction of the tooth’s crystalline matrix, rather than simply “holes” caused by bacteria. -A discussion of the traditional Chinese medicine meridian model and how teeth may relate to other organs through energetic pathways. -An introduction to psychoneuroodontology (PNO), which looks at the psychological, emotional, and spiritual components connected to dental issues. -Practical dental wellness suggestions, including nourishing traditional foods, nervous system regulation, proper chewing and dynamic function, saliva quality, remineralization, oil pulling, releasing jaw and facial tension, and holding an intention to heal. Questions discussed in this webinar include: -What kind of dental work is actually beneficial? -What's the best way to regenerate a missing tooth? -I never got my wisdom teeth removed. Is this good or bad? I have not experienced much trouble except for the cavities they filled with mercury. -Since brushing gets rid of bacteria which are beneficial, is it a harmful practice? -What's the best way to heal a cracked tooth? -Do metal and ceramic caps also have a current? -What about implants? -Does calculus need to be removed, or is it perhaps serving an intelligent purpose? -Can you heal a tooth under a crown? -If we're bombarded by toxins- and bacteria are there to help clean up the toxins, isn't it more important to keep the bacteria? Throughout the webinar, Nirvani emphasizes that the mouth is connected to the whole body, that teeth may be understood beyond the bacteria-and-brushing model, and that dental health can be approached through diet, charge, nervous system regulation, awareness, and supportive daily practices. 2. Number 2: Healing Is Hell When You're Heavy on Your Heels with Patrick Daly - 8/26/26

In this livestream, Patrick, the movement specialist at New Biology Clinic, guest hosts while Tom is away and shares his perspective on movement, posture, foot mechanics, and the meaning behind “healing is hell when you’re on your heels.” Highlights from this session include: -Patrick introduces his background in movement training, including 15 years of experience working with people of all ages, abilities, injuries, surgeries, and physical challenges. -He explains that the body is not flawed, but is constantly communicating. When symptoms are ignored or masked, he says the body often “gets louder” until we pay attention. -He discusses the importance of the feet as the foundation of movement, especially how many people carry their weight back on their heels. -He breaks down the body’s mobile-stable-mobile-stable pattern, explaining how a stiff ankle can create compensations in the knee, hip, lower back, and beyond. -He compares the foot to the gas and brake pedals of a car: the ball of the foot helps propel the body forward, while the heel acts like a brake. -He connects being heavy on the heels with stiffness, compression, frozen joints, collapsed arches, bunions, knee issues, hip issues, and lower back pain. -He emphasizes the difference between “exercising” and “training,” encouraging people to move with attention, intention, awareness, and curiosity. -He discusses how emotional and psychological stress can show up physically in the body, often influencing posture, tension, and the way someone stands or moves. -He encourages gentle, present movement rather than forcing the body, and reminds viewers that the goal is to help the body feel safe enough to communicate and reorganize. Questions discussed in this webinar include: -My heel is painful. What can I do? -Do you know Doctor Reich Hammer? -About toe walking in toddlers. Back in the day, I recall talk of it being bad. I am now wondering if it really is a good thing off those heels. -Why do, why do humans favor their heels if it doesn't work for us? -I know I have been using my body in wrong ways, and that that is the basis of the physical problems in my right leg coming from my frozen pelvis. But is it true that unresolved emotions store themselves in the hips as well? -Any effect down the pipe on body weight increase? -Hey, Pat, I'll be starting PT again and tired of repeatedly beginning baby steps. Once I've become able to walk and run easily, I intend to go on to the treadmill and the elliptical. Any suggestions you have for me are welcome. Additional comments discussed include: -An autistic young man at my sister's wedding walked around all day on his tiptoes like a cow. I was fascinated. Since then, when fatigue sets in on long labor days, I walk on my tiptoes. -In childhood, I walked with the front half of my foot to try to be taller, as I was the youngest one in the family. It helped strengthen my calves, and it helped to outrun the guys on the playground. Throughout the webinar, Patrick emphasizes that movement begins with awareness, that the feet influence the entire body, and that healing requires listening to the body’s signals rather than forcing, ignoring, or outsourcing the process. 3. Number 3: New Biology Experience Conference Reflections - 6/17/26

In this June 17th webinar, Tom opens by announcing that Cowan’s Community Corner is now live. He shares that this space is where events are announced, where ongoing conversations can continue, and where members can participate in a monthly live Q&A with him. He then gives a recap of the first New Biology Experience Conference at Polyface Farm, describing it as a “wildly, almost amazingly successful” gathering. Tom thanks the organizing team, Polyface Farm staff, apprentices, interns, New Biology Clinic practitioners, and everyone who attended for helping create a joyful and memorable event. Highlights from the New Biology Experience include: -Tom’s opening welcome on the importance of freedom and truth in developing community. -Joel Salatin’s welcome and history of Polyface Farm, including the story of regenerating the land through rotational grazing. -The historic return of cows to a pasture that had not been grazed in over 100 years. -Tom’s talk, “The Day the Science Died.” -Sessions with New Biology Clinic wellness specialists, including movement, EFT, biofield tuning, cooking, food classes, and practitioner-led talks. -Chris Brown’s talk on vitality and the difference between healing and fixing. -Shared meals featuring food raised at Polyface Farm. -Live music from the Red Pill Friends, including their song “The Day the Science Died.” He then reflects on several themes and questions that came up during the event. Some questions discussed include: -What about this whole DNA story? -How can I do better, have a better life, feel happier, more joy? -What is this pain trying to tell me? -"I don’t know anything about what’s true. I don’t know what’s true anymore" -and much more Throughout the webinar, Tom emphasizes that healing begins with asking the right question. Rather than focusing on fixing isolated diagnoses, test results, or symptoms, he encourages listeners to ask what would help them live a better, healthier, more joyful life. He also reflects on the importance of direct experience, sensory observation, clear thinking, experimentation, and shared community as reliable ways of knowing. Tom closes by sharing that he will be taking the summer off from regular Wednesday webinars to recharge, garden, care for the animals, and think through new ideas. He will continue monthly Cowan’s Community Corner Q&As and weekly New Biology Clinic Q&As, and plans to return to the Wednesday webinars around mid-August. Sign up for C3 here.
