October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and so we thought it was important for us to have an open and honest conversation about domestic violence/intimate partner violence. For this conversation we defined what domestic violence is and some types of DV as well as warning signs. We also discussed a recent event of DV incident where a young woman lost her life. Join us for this important topic area as well as some resources for anyone who would like assistance or help if they find themselves in a domestic Violence situation.
For any victims and survivors who need support, the National Domestic hotline is 24/7. Call 1-800-799-7233 or 1-800-787-3224 for TTY, or if you’re unable to speak safely, you can log onto thehotline.org or text LOVEIS to 22522.
