Greensboro Project, which is the future home of the Carrboro branch of the Orange County Library. Chair of the Orange County Commissioners Jamezetta Bedford spoke with 97.9 The Hill's Andrew Stuckey on Wednesday, April 12th. She discussed Tuesday's board of commissioners meeting, in which they heard the 10-year capital needs plan for the county.

Hillsborough Mayor Jenn Weaver spoke with 97.9 The Hill's Andrew Stuckey on Tuesday, April 11th. She recapped a discussion at Monday's Town Board of Commissioners meeting about potentially closing part of Eno Street in June for "Flush Fest," an annual private fundraiser.  The board ultimately opted to not set the precedent of closing town streets for private events. She also discussed other items from the board of commissioners meeting, and some upcoming events in the town.

She also discussed Orange County Transit's ailing fleet, causing some cancellation of services in the area this week.

Hillsborough Mayor Jenn Weaver spoke with 97.9 The Hill's Andrew Stuckey on Tuesday, April 4th. She discussed reaction to bills in the general assembly, including Medicaid expansion, the elimination of local permits for handguns, and bills limiting the rights of LGBTQ citizens, and more. She also discussed town priorities for the upcoming budget discussion, the upcoming dedication of  Bonnie B. Davis Memorial Garden, a dog costume contest and egg hunt, and more.
