Does Buffy believe in garlic boarding? Is having a hellmouth under your high school hard? Would you sacrifice your relationships so you could slay more? It’s been 20 years since Buffy The Vampire Slayer first debuted, and it still has a dedicated fanbase that swears it is a good show. Comedian, podcaster, and blood-thirsty lady, Erin Michele Gabbard (@erinMgabbard) sets her fangs into the task of convincing the boyz to watch. We do a deep character analysis, discuss the best ways to kill a vampire, and open-up about the vampires in our own lives. We close things out with everyone’s favorite Shark Tank rip-off, Dolphin Chamber, where desperate entrepreneurs attempt to lure investors from the ocean blue. Vampires may suck, but this episode definitely does not.

Russell Zych (@russdumpster) wants to help you fall asleep. His advice? Throw out that book, say "so long" to your sleep mask, and turn on Netflix! I've heard of Netflix and chill, but Netflix and sleep? I have also heard of that. Russell takes us through the basics of his Netflix to sleep program, some facts about sleep and blue light, and tips on what shows to watch and earbud logistics. Also, we find out What's Cheezin You Off in the eponymous segment. Also, Ben discovered sound effects. Sorry.

VHS tapes, 'member? Filmmaker and young person Benjamin Gordon (@alaskopolis on Instagram) says they're fun to watch and collect! From the forced-linear format to great cover art and nostalgia, Benjamin's got a lot of reasons for you to not "tape" old formats for granted (sorry). We also hear another edition of Dolphin Chamber, which is just, you know, real fun.
Check out Benjamin Gordon's upcoming short "Miami Rising" as well as his completed short "La Noche." You can stream these films on vimeo, search for Benjamin Gordon.

Scrub-a-bubbles, Mr. Clean, urinal cake boss, what do these things mean to you? Comedian Courtney Karwal (@courtneykarwal) deep cleans the studio, offering tips, parent-children bonding stories, and band recommendations to the guys. We learn way too much about everyone’s cleaning tendencies. Nevertheless, Geoff highlights the key ingredient to his relationships, Thayer provides funny visuals, and Ben is definitely homeless. Last but not least, we interview Courtney’s toilet, Percy Kohler, and close things out with a new segment “Emojeez Louise”, discussing texting culture and habits. Will these dirty dogs become deep-cleaning legends? Tune in to find out!

Ladies, this week's episode is Thayer-free! Judith Schomp joins us this week to talk about Elizabethan England. She explains how political and cultural strides being made at the time make it the "coolest period in history." Along the way, Geoff looks back at his middle school production of Stomp, we meet Frederick Shakespeare, brother of the famous playwright and marketing consultant for CBS' "The Bull", and Thayer gets dinner with his mom somewhere else!

Filmmaker, Comedian and Davehead Shane Spiegel (www.shanespiegel.com) doesn't get why Dave Matthews Band has gotten such a bad reputation. He argues that they are best experienced live, and that most music is the same anyway--which really incenses Thayer. Shane really brings it home by exploring the surprising recurring subject matter in many DMB songs. We also return to the classic segment "Title Match," which goes well, I guess.
Shane would like you to eat at Yuca's Tacos on Hollywood and Vermont, where he especially enjoys the chips, guac, and tacos. Shane also encourages you to follow any of the fake social media accounts in his name.

Do nerds get beat up in Texas? Do cowboys drink cold brew? Does Texas smell like pork-rendering? Briana Mckeague stops by the podcast to debunk the Convince Me Boyz’ preconceptions about the Lone Star State. We discuss what type of cowboy hats we’d wear, why more foods should come in a vat, and weigh in on the popularity of sports. Lastly, the boys show why they’re clearly not successful comedians by reading their latest jokes from their comedic journals...spoiler alert! comedy is hard. Can the boyz mess with Texas or will they be sent home with a brand on their tushy? Tune in to find out. Yee-haw!

On this week's episode, Aman Adumer teaches us about the ups and downs of investing. And the conversation is well, interesting (said like "investing")! Along the way, Aman tells us what it looks like when a Hollywood meeting goes south, Geoff's tech experience comes in handy during a discussion about the Silicon Valley, and Ben is lewd as ever. This episode is extra special because it was recorded at Thayer's Silverlake apartment. Thanks for the kombucha Thayer!

The dudes are lonely this week with a no guest bro fest. Ben Cassil loves the Discworld satirical fantasy series of novels by Terry Pratchett, and he REALLY wants Geoff and Thayer to get on board. Seriously, Ben takes this one a bit too seriously. It's concerning. He covers everything from the multiple intersecting storylines in Discworld to the colorful characters and favorite quotes. And at long last, we introduce our new segment: DOLPHIN CHAMBER (no relation to Sharktank).
Thanks everyone for reviewing us! We'd love more ratings and reviews on iTunes. You can follow us @ConvinceMePod, Convince Me Podcast on Facebook or email [email protected]. Follow @ThayerFrechette, @BenCassil, and @GeoffKLive.
