The attitude of the Corinthians assembly was one of arrogance and pride in their own abilities. This would lead to their destruction if not corrected. Paul felt a need to correct their lost direction in this letter.

I. Their Pride should have been sadness Cor 5:1-5

Clarification of the positions of Apostles, Evangelists, and teacher, as it pertains to judgements. Judge not the man as he already has a judge, the Lord Jesus Christ, but the message delivered for faithfulness to the will of Christ.

The Statement “Jesus was God,” or “Jesus said He was God” has caused much confusion to those naming Jesus Christ as The Lord and Savior, violating the Apostolic command in 1 Cor 4:5-6. One of the text used as proof is Mark 2: 1-13.

1. Delegated authority (power) is the true teaching

Intro: The definitive work on the “Spirit of: God, the Lord and Man. There is a clear distinction between the Brethren of the assembly and the Lord’s Apostles in regard to the the “mind of Christ” and the role played in the Kingdom of God.
