Cooper Stuff Podcast

Today we respond to Phil Vischer of VeggieTales. His podcast and co-hosts of The Holy Post Podcast critiqued and criticized (and mocked, but no worries) me and Alisa Childers statements about deconstruction. Cooper Stuff  unpacks their statements and finds some points of agreement but clearly disagree on much. Does the Holy Post belittle some things that ought not be belittled? We discuss sexual immorality, sanctification, the armor of God, the Leftward drift, and much more. There’s a lot of meat in todays episode. We hope you’re hungry.

On today’s ten minute talk I share my thoughts and experience of performing on the Candace Owens Show. I give a challenge to those who claim I have become too political; I give reasons that we should support platforms that give people/artists such as Cooper Stuff and Skillet a voice; and finally we talk about the difference between partisan politics and political philosophy. We must fight for Liberty or we may lose it.

Today we finally start our series on The Leftward Drift Of Christian Elites. We shifted our first topic due to the comments made by John Cooper on deconstruction that blew up the internet. Many people and outlets weighed in to the controversy. “The Gospel Coalition” and “Desiring God” provided us with great examples of how the elites are not leading us well. It’s time for a rise of the laypeople.

The storm is rising and it is becoming more costly to stand for what we believe. Cancel culture, deplatforming…how many of our leaders are going to stay the course? Today we discuss how many leaders want to play nice and be loved by the world. We compare them to Steven the martyr, and finally we end with an encouraging message to be strong and courageous.

Whoopi Goldberg has been asked to take 2 weeks off from her show after some controversial remarks about the holocaust and racism. Lastly, are these influences coming into the church?

In todays ten minute talk we discuss an article suggesting that true equity is not possible unless we give away our children to the State. While this is evil, there is a point of agreement on the power that parents have over their children that makes “equity” impossible.
