Cooper Stuff Podcast

Last week the Biden administration memorialized "transgender visibility day" on the same day as Easter. The public mockery of Christianity is bad enough, but even worse is the silence of Christian leaders. But the worst is that some of those Christian leaders have reprimanded and even rebuked Christians for being upset or calling out President Biden. Today, we discuss two principles: rulers are obligated to obey God; and Church leaders need to wake up.

Happy 200th Cooper Stuff episode! We start with a must-see montage of maniacal Cooper moments. Then we move on to the need for prudence, wisdom, and shrewdness in the church, and namely, how there has been a lack of it. This is illustrated best by an insane clip this week from MSNBC about Christian Nationalism.

Alisa Childers joins the show to discuss her new book, "The Deconstruction of Christianity." This episode is packed full of extremely important material. We discuss the differing definitions of the term "deconstruction," and why Alisa believes that Christians should use the word "reformation" instead. These can be two very different concepts. Today's episode is so relevant and anyone who has been confused about deconstruction will undoubtedly benefit greatly by watching.

Pro-lifers may face more than ten years in prison for protesting abortion, while other violent protesters aren't even arrested, or are set free without bail. Why is this? Today we talk about the arbitrary rule/law of totalitarian regimes versus the static moral law of God. We also talk about "Christian nationalism" and the incredible insidious statements made by the Christian Left including William Barber, Russell Moore, and Preston Sprinkle.

On this episode, we play several videos that will undoubtedly surprise many people. Last week we discussed whether or not churches/pastors should get political, and whether or not that's even a possibility. This week, a myriad of examples popped up that support my thesis: The Christian Left who accuse Christian conservatives of being politically motivated reveal themselves to be hyper political in shocking and unbiblical ways.

Should pastors stay away from politics? I understand the notion, but is that possible? What if there's so much progressive propaganda that lies seem like the truth, and then pastors teach morality based on faulty information? Today we read some headlines from the last ten days where the truth has been revealed, and the moral implications are stunning.

Rapper Lil Nas X releases his blasphemous video for the song "J Christ." Christian rappers speak out against it and call him to repentance. This leads to a discussion of what it means to live in moral relativism; to not be able to distinguish right from wrong, good from evil. Most importantly, we discuss Isaiah 5.
