Welcome to the CORE podcast, where we have thoughts on all things gaming, including new Comscore data showing gamers might be caring about ads in games differently than you think. Plus, the Deadpool bum controllers, Diablo and the new Spiritborn class, the new NMS update, and Concord getting some nice pre-release love from players. Plus a souls-like phone call, and more!

CORE 426: Game? Pass.

So the inevitable happened. MS is raising the price of GamePass across the board, and introducing a lower tier that kinda sucks. We have all kinds of thoughts on it, and one us even dumped it. Also, are transformers skins enough to get Jon back into Overwatch 2? Probably not. Ayaneo retro console looks pretty cool (it's more a mini PC but still seems great for emu). Nintendo takes public stance to not use generative AI. CCP will making Eve Online open-source in order to ensure the MMO can live on forever. Darktide overhauling weapon progression, adding mastery xp and making it more progression focused rather than RNG. All that and your feedback.

Elden Ring fans are having a pretty good week, if not a hard week. :) Oh, and that means we are all playing Elden Ring again, including Scott. (With mixed results.) FF14 is about to have a big week themselves. Let's talk about it. Steam getting a recording mode. How many of your games are just setting on the shelf? Why people are playing that stupid Banana game. LoL gets all Vampirey and Survivory. WoW SoD phase 4 hitting soon. Xbox Cloud Gaming coming to Amazon TV's. Capcom is remaking Dead Rising and we are stoked. Dear Martha, calls, texts and more!

Nintendo is making a Zelda game where you play as Zelda?? Awesome. But shouldn't they call it The Legend of Link? Also, the rest of the Nintendo Direct. Oh and welcome to Elden Ring DLC week. You all know what you have to do. Plus Dear Martha, Nvida overtaking Microsoft in the World's Most Valuable Company wars, and Sony ending their rewards program. Your texts and more too!
