As we continue in our “In God we Trust” series, in this message we will look at the relation between trust in God and holy living. Holiness has been seen by many even in the church as relative, outdated or old school, when it is a timeless call to reflect the image of a holy God! The gospel gives us a living hope that should result in us living holy!

Today we continue in our series “In God We Trust” with a message entitled “Faith Walk.” To say you trust God but not obey his word is dishonest, even hypocritical. You can’t really trust someone, yet be unwilling to listen to them. God, as supreme, Creator of all and Sovereign ruler deserves our devotion. This world needs to see a church who is uncompromising in its practice and proclamation of the truth! We must develop our “Faith Walk!”

Our national motto is “In God we Trust." It's not particularly Christian, since it doesn’t say in Jesus we trust, but there is a general designation of “God”. As Christians, we must own this, we must make this ours and live it as a light in a dark world. Our lives must demonstrate a complete and utter dependance upon God so that it is so clear, that there is no question as to where our trust lies. This message starts our series off with the most important and practical practice of anyone who claims dependance upon God: a call to a life given to prayer. Prayer must be a private practice if it will be a public priority! Let the church arise to the call of “Prayerful Dependence”

We will conclude our No Apology series with a focus on what apologetics is all about, not winning arguments, growing in knowledge, but making disciples! The word of God is the source of training in righteousness, the Holy Spirit illuminates our hearts by the word of God granting us the discernment to tell the truth from the lie. While we must be on guard against the lies of the enemy, we must become students of the scriptures who have need be ashamed because we rightly divide it and know how to apply it to life!

One of the most notorious and false religions is that of the Jehovah's Witnesses. We have probably all had encounters with them, some of them very discouraging. Today we will look at how we can "witness" to "witnesses". We will learn the differences between Christianity and Jehovah's Witnesses and how we can point them to the truth and be light to them when they are bringing their false gospel to us.

In light of all that is happening in our world, the clear escalation of violence, the church must know that God’s word governs us and guides us. In the midst of unrest, we can trust God to be with us and that our lives are in His hands. We demonstrate our trust in God by obeying his word. Today we will see what the bibles says about government, our desperate need for love and to awaken as the body of Christ to influence our culture with the gospel!

This week we continue in our No Apology:Apologetics Series. In this message we will look at the real need there is to contextualize Christianity, to bring change to our culture! Contextualization of our faith is key to reaching and ministering to the hurting in our culture. We cannot effectively reach people we have no compassion towards, are not willing to confront with the truth and offer no solution to the problems sin creates!
