In today’s rant, I discuss many things including my gratitude for ALL OFF Y’ALL in regards to the launch of my new column in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. I also talk about the influence of Lewis Grizzard and share some of my favorite of his book titles and covers. I also brought up a podcast called Noble, which explores a controversy involving a crematorium in Noble, Georgia. …. pretty sure i’ve talked to y’all about this before but it is RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD FROM ME and we tried to do a damn tv show based on it!

Naturally i also reflect on the emotional toll of being a father lol

Y’all, things are HEATING UP in Westeros my goodness gracious!

The whole world that George RR Martin built is finally coming into view in the second season of House Of The Dragon. Season 1 was certainly a tone shift from the OG Game Of Thrones, and while it has still maintained a more somber vibe, we are starting to see flashes of the show we all fell in love with!

We see The Wall, we hear from some Dornes….. banners are raised and Dragons are Dracarys’n people smooth ta death!

Hey everyone! Today I walked around the park and talked a good bit about the assassination attempt and JD Vance (who I know personally) being picked as VP to Trump.

The main thread of the rant though is how I’ve realized lately that I have changed as a person. In a good way I think, but possibly bad for my career… time will tell! Basically my realization was this: I no longer have the need to be first or to have the hottest take!

Is this from getting older? Is it from having a kid? Is it….. BECAUSE I TAKE CARE OF MY MENTAL HEALTH?
