In Philippians 3:12-21 we see that Paul?s aim and goal was to know Christ and to press towards the goal and keep running the race set before him. Am I pursuing the prize of knowing Jesus?

In Philippians 3:1 we are exhorted to ?Rejoice in the Lord.? In this teaching Terri talks about choosing to rejoice even if our circumstances don?t make us joyful, because God is worthy of our praise and we can rejoice in Him. Joy is a deep down confidence that God is sovereign and because He is, All is Well.

Susie Smith shared with us the amazing story of how the Lord brought her family to adopt a little boy from Uganda. Susie shared how through this journey she learned that as we step out in faith, God shows up in powerful and tangible ways. We live life to the fullest when we allow God to guide us into the unknown, trusting Him to provide and meet our every need.

This teaching focuses on verse 12 and 13 and that "working out" our salvation does not mean to "work for" our salvation but rather that we are to "cultivate" our salvation. As a farmer fertilizes his crop and pulls the weeds, that is what we are called to do so that we can grow fruit. Reading God's Word and repenting of our sin are some of the ways that our faith can be cultivated. We cannot do this on our but God can help us, He is our cultivator and will give us the strength to do it.

Susan Schmeltz shares the amazing testimony of what God has done in her and her family's life after they surrendered their lives to Him.

In this passage of Philippians we learn that our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. May we seek the Lord each day asking Him to help us have His attitude in everything that we do.

Through this teaching we see that Paul endured chains for Christ, rejoiced in Christ proclaimed, was eager for Christ exalted, desired Christ in death, was one with Christ in life, and he labored for Christ our joy. Paul had distinct vision for a clear image of Christ in the radiant light of His glory, which was the fixed point for his life. We must keep our focus on Jesus and behold Him. In Luke 2 we read the story of when Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer, was born. As the angels came to tell the shepherds not to be afraid, we can "fear not" because we have a Savior. The Savior had come and would change their situation for His glory and bring them through. That is why they were encouraged to "Fear Not". In the same way, the presence of Jesus in our life should bring the absence of fear and the presence of Joy!

Thanksgiving should be a daily heart attitude, not just a day we celebrate. God is worth of our thanks and praise each day! Throughout this teaching we go over three questions: Why should I give thanks? How do I give thanks? What are the blessings of giving thanks?
