In Ephesians 6, we see that God calls us to obedience. In this teaching we focus on learning the importance of children obeying their parents because God commands it. In the Word, parents are commanded to train up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. As children obey their parents, they will learn what it means to obey God and submit to Him.

In Ephesians 5:21-33 we see how God calls us to walk in submission. Specifically in this passage, we learn about submission in marriage and what that can mean in our lives. As you choose to submit to and respect your husband, God sees and is pleased.

Carrie Holdcraft shares her testimony with us at our Women's Spring Tea. Carrie's testimony is God's story of His Sovereignty in her life and His faithfulness to the promises of His Word. She encourages the women that no matter what the circumstances are that come into our lives, they are no surprise to God. Trusting in God's Sovereignty and His Word will sustain us through any circumstance. Psalm 50:15 "Call unto Me in your time of trouble; I will answer you and you will give Me glory."

In this teaching we learn about 5 ways that we are called to walk in our Christian life: walk Worthy, walk like God, walk in love, walk in light, and walk in wisdom. We dig deeper in this study to learn what each of these mean and how we can walk in each of these things.

In this time of teaching we learn about the "old man" and the "new man". In this passage, Paul talks about how we are to live as Christians. We are to put off the things of the world and put on those things that are pleasing to Christ.

Through this study in Ephesians 4, we learn how God calls us to walk in unity and what that looks like in our life. We are challenged by three questions: Does my behavior benefit the work of God? Do my words bless the Kingdom of God? Does my life bring honor and praise to God?

In Ephesians 2 we come across two words that change our lives forever?.But God. In this study we learn how we were dead in our sin but God didn?t leave us that way. He made a sacrifice through the blood of Jesus Christ to bring us close to Him forever. What amazing love! We also discover that God is our Peace. That means that our fulfillment, wholeness, completeness, safety and abundance is in Him alone.

In Ephesians 1 we learn about the 9 spiritual blessings that God have given to those who are His children. We are chosen, we are loved, we are predestined, we are adopted, we are accepted, we are redeemed, we are forgiven, we are saved and we are sealed. God has given us these blessings so that He would be glorified in our lives. In this teaching we dig deeper into the meaning of each of these blessings.

In this introduction to the book of Ephesians we see that Paul wanted the Ephesians to grasp the purpose and mission for their life. In Christ, we have an eternal purpose, we are chosen and accepted in the beloved. How amazing is the love of God for each of us! May we grasp His love as we study through the book of Ephesians.

In Galatians 5:16-26 we are encouraged to live by the Spirit, walk in the Spirit and keep in step in the Spirit. The only way we can live lives that are not in the flesh is by living completely dependent on the Holy Spirit, being sensitive to His voice and obedient to Him. As we abide in Christ, He will fill us and the fruit of the Spirit will flow from our lives.
