From Romans 8:31-39. It can be easy to assume that God is against us or that he isn't working for us. But the amazing truth of Scripture is that, in Christ, God is for us and has amazing plans for us.

From 1 Peter 4:12-19. We may not like facing difficult times. But we are promised they are coming. We also know that God will judge all of us. Because of these things, it's important that we would learn how to handle our sufferings well - with hope, faith, and joy.

From 1 Peter 4:1-11. In this world, it is very easy to get distracted by sin or by our own pursuits. In this passage, we learn about resisting sin and about setting our minds on things that are worthwhile.

From 1 Peter 3:18-22. This passage contains some difficult theology, which I try to explain. But it also contains a very clear message about our hope of salvation - we need to trust in what God provides to deliver us.

From 1 Peter 3:13-18. Because we know Jesus, we can walk around this world with great hope, even in the face of suffering. We should be able to tell others the reason for the hope we have, too.

From 1 Peter 3:1-12. In this passage, we see some important advice for husbands & wives, as well as some good advice for any human relationship. It's easy to struggle with relationships. But if we're focused on Christ, we can honor God in the way we treat each other.

From 1 Peter 2:13-25. We often struggle to know how to interact with authorities or how to respond to unjust suffering. This passage gives us some wonderful teaching on these topics and reminds us of how Jesus suffered for us.
