Deborah reviews week 3 of The Apprentice UK, the task was to design toys for 6-8 years old and sell it to retailers. For 250k we see grown adults take a trip down memory lane into their childhood , some ideas and delivery was exactly what was ordered, some completely messed up the order (Turtles as a motivational toy). Huh!

In this lastest episode of  “DCHTPODCAST, Deborah explores and comments on the recent speech by the entrepreneur /Philanthropist Robert F Smith at Morehouse College Commencement Speech.  Word on the street is he cleared over 400 student’s debt please do the maths ! why is this not continuously trending , a question I keep asking myself.. I have decided to listen to  his message and comment on it , if you haven’t listened to it , here are the 5 key points/advice he gave the fresh debt free graduands

I personally feel Robert did not only relief the students of their debts but he broke the curse of bad  stereotyping and re birthed the boys , making them feel brand new , the morehouse graduates, after that speech may have felt like they can rule the world.

In this episode has been narrowed down to 3 points (asking for a pay rise, asking for promotions,negotiating) Additionally asking for a change of you work , I believe all the above are difficult conversations to have especially if you don't want to loo forward. In  this episode of DCHTPodcast Deborah talks about feeling sad and less at work. Have you ever been in a situation where your are allowing your job or career define who you are and affecting your self esteem, well it is time to re adjust your mindset and know that you are not your job! 

In this episode  titled Coping with rejection : Job Application where I talk about how I have coped with rejection believe rejection is an everyday issue in my world, from asking my daughter “can mummy have a bite” and she says “NO!!!!!” (jokes she is still mastering the concept of sharing)  Haha really but I am sure this is something we’ve all been through when we apply for jobs. I noticed it happens when you are applying for positions which can put you in a higher position and the ouch rejection is when you are applying for positions you feel overqualified for , and you still get the “Unfortunately” line . Anyway Dchtpodcast should not be mistaken for a professional service, or career coaching but much more relaxed angle when talking about our professional/corporate affair.
