EP 063 - Matt Warzel, the founder of MJW Careers, began his corporate career in staffing and recruiting. While moving to Los Angeles, to also pursue his passion for acting and writing screen plays, Matt landed a position in Human Resources for a large global company. He says he honed in on his business acumen and learned so much while working for large corporations. Like many of us, Matt found himself unemployed in 2008, but used that time and resources to start his own company. He's now a sought after resume writer and career coach, who thrives from helping others use their talents to better their life and careers. This is a fun interview with lots of laughs and great insight into building a business and career.

EP 061 - Angela Anderson, the founder of Millionaire Money Mastery, began her career with Peace Corps right out of college and then moved to a desk job within another non-profit company. She described feeling like a caged animal and was always looking for ways to travel and use her creative spirit outside of the confines of her job. Angela took a leap and traveled to India to study Ashtanga yoga with K. Pattabhi Jois, and once she returned to the US, she decided it was time to begin her entrepreneurial journey. From selling goods at local farmers markets to becoming a bookkeeper and financial manager, Angela honed in on her skills to support small businesses develop wealth, financial strategy, and mindset changes to grow their business and personal wealth. EP 060 - Júlio Maria, founder of Sharing Knowledge International, only spent a short time in his corporate career while obtaining his degree in Engineering. He knew early on that corporate life wasn't cut out for him, so he began building a career in the business training and personal development space. In 2019, he was named one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans and the only one selected from his country of Mozambique, this award is just one of many outstanding achievements in Júlio's young entrepreneurial career. EP 059 - Christine Krogfoss, the founder of Coaching by Christine Krogfoss, started her career in London because she was ready to see the world, originally studying business and Russian politics, she always had the feeling she'd start her own business one day. Christine was always the one her clients and colleagues turned to for support and strategy, and she eventually discovered she could transition her corporate skills into a business of her own. She started her coaching business on the side, she narrowed down her niche, hired a coach for herself, and left the corporate world within one month of landing her first client. Christine talks about borrowing the confidence from her coach on days that she didn't feel confident in herself and harnessing momentum once she started working with client after client. In this episode, we discuss mindset, overcoming objections, and working with clients who are the right fit for your business.

However, after several years in a row of laying off half the workforce, Jerome no longer wanted to be a part of the corporate environment. He spent several years diving deep into the personal work to redefine who he was and what he wanted out of life. EP 056 - Larissa Bodniowycz, adventure blogger of Sort of Legal and small business attorney with Bold City Legal, graduated with her law degree smack dab in the middle of the recession of the mid-2000's. Like so many new graduates at that time, she was grateful for any job and took on retail work to make ends meet. Larissa quickly realized that corporate law wasn't all that it was cracked up to be and without positive role models in the industry to guide her, she took her talents to education where she learned more of the ins/outs of business. After several years of working in education, Larissa decided to give her law degree another shot and started a transactional law firm that allowed her to work from anywhere. The adventure and travel blogging started as a way to share her stories with friends and family and has turned into a passion for sharing her solo-travel tips and provide resources and guides for interested readers.
