Thursday local time (early Friday morning Australian time), what is possibly the final public hearing of the January 6 Committee that’s been investigating the riot at the Capitol Building in Washington DC more than 18 months ago.

I’ll be watching, not at 3am though. Instead a more respectable time during Friday.

After much back and forth, the Albanese government will stick to the stage 3 tax cuts that were announced by the previous government despite worsening economic conditions globally.

However the government says it reserves the right to pare back the tax cuts if needed prior to their official start date more than 12 months away.
