Cosmic Crit: A Starfinder Actual Play Podcast

This week on Cosmic Crit, the battle against the towering construct rages on as it unleashes devastation across Golarion World. A bold teleportation brings the crew face-to-face with their foe, and a decisive strike brings it crashing down -- almost. But as the dust clears, the true threat begins to rise again.

This week on Cosmic Crit, the Drift Rider crew assembles once more in Golarion World—but their reunion is cut short by the sudden rise of a towering, construct-like menace. Its purpose is unknown, its power unmistakable. As the dust settles, the crew prepares for a battle unlike any they’ve faced before.

Amid golden circuitry and the eerie glow of the Pulsar, the crew finds more than just silence aboard the lost Shirren vessel. A trance has taken hold—but not all minds are beyond reach. Tensions rise, memories resurface, and ancient patterns begin to make sense… or grow more dangerous. As stars align and past meets future, one truth becomes clear: the Weydana system lies directly in the shadow’s path.

Leaving New Golarion behind, the crew sets course for the heart of darkness—where a shadow older than memory waits. But not all attempts to shut it out go as planned. As they drift through shattered remains and twisted gravity, the crew boards a ghost ship with no crew… only questions. What happened to the explorers aboard the Space Foam? And what secrets does their youngest survivor hold? The mystery deepens, in the shadow of Misaxenoi.

As two paths diverge across space and shadow, one crewmate is called to confront something beyond the veil—while the others must decide what to do with what he brings back. With ancient forces stirring and strange tremors rocking New Golarion, the crew splits their focus between cosmic threats and planetary warnings. Beneath the surface of the Isle of Kortos, something is waiting... and it’s closer than anyone expected.

Thrown headfirst into a desperate battle against the relentless Swarm, the crew must fight not just for survival—but for the secrets buried deep within the hive. As the fight rages on, every choice could mean the difference between victory and annihilation.

A wrecked dreadnought. A missing enemy. And something waiting in the crater below. As the crew ventures deeper into the ruins of the Golden Key, unlikely allies emerge—and the shadows they thought they’d escaped prove harder to outrun.
