In this episode, we welcome Costi Hinn to the show. He is an evangelical pastor, author, and nephew of the infamous Benny Hinn. He currently serves as the Teaching Pastor at Shepherd’s House Bible Church in Chandler, AZ. He is also the Founder and President of “For the Gospel”, an online ministry dedicated to providing sound biblical doctrine for everyday people. He is the author of several books; to include “God, Greed, and the (Prosperity) Gospel: How Truth Overwhelms a Life Built on Lies” and his newest book “Walking in God's Will: Demystify God's Plan for Your Life and Make Decisions with Confidence”. He is also in the process of completing his doctorate at The Master’s Seminary. In this interview, we discuss what it was like growing up in the Hinn family “ministry”, how he was being groomed to take over for his uncle Benny, the lavish lifestyle he experienced as he aged, when he first started identifying the cracks in the family “business”, how a baseball coach, his girlfriend, and a pastor helped lead him away from the false gospel that his family was peddling, why he decided to go public with his opposition to his family’s actions, what he would say if he were to ever see his uncle face to face again, the current state of masculinity in the church, how his new book helps people decipher God’s will, and much more.
