So what have we learned from 1 Corinthians?

o The Foundation of the Church is the Crucifixion of Jesus

o God Calls Us to be United

o God Calls Us to Personal Holiness

o God Calls the Church to Holiness

Two concluding Truths:

1) It can NEVER be said that Jesus is not concerned with how we live. He is calling us to a life of obedience.

2) True believers should naturally desire correction.

Reflection:

God has not given you “stuff” to make you comfortable and stagnant, he has given you everything to live a life of generosity that reflects His character and the grace of Jesus.

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

For he must reign until he puts all his enemies under his feet. 

Reflection:

The resurrection of Jesus gives every believer a future, final hope of Renewal and Victory. This should result in a life that is “steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Cor 15:58).

The resurrection of Jesus impacts our present life of a believer with two truths:

- We are Dead to Sin

- We are Alive in Christ

• What does it mean that we are dead to sin?

• How can you pray, flee from sin, and abide in Christ as you hear the shouts of the enemy?
