Scripture tells us religion that is pure is caring for the orphans (James 1:27). In the United States alone there are more than 400,000 children in the foster care system.* Each child is an opportunity to show God's love, to reach out to the most vulnerable and be an agent of hope. While not everyone is called to fostering or adopting, we are all called to love and to pray for one another.
