On today's episode, I interview Rachel Roberts, a brilliant mentor who works with couples and individuals, with a focus on relationships and connection, helping to translate the feminine and masculine languages, using Soul Modes, the Enneagram, as well as many different personality systems.
Rachel bravely shares about the traumas she experienced throughout childhood and how they impacted her well into adulthood.
She shares how mothering her daughters allowed her to mother her inner child, how owning her trauma story allowed her to shift from self-blame into self-forgiveness, and how listening to the messages of her own anger allows her to heal the cycle of intergenerational anger in her family.
We talk about how each sibling has their own perception of the traumas that happen in a family and how every child's perception is valid.
And of course we talk about the importance of inner work, self awareness, and being kind and compassionate to ourselves.
