What is the threshing floor symbolic of?
Threshing is often used as a symbol for God's judgment; trials separate those who truly believe in him and those who do not. A busy threshing floor was a symbol of a plentiful harvest; a bare one indicated famine, and perhaps God's judgment.
What is the chaff in the Bible?
Ptyon, the word translated as winnowing fork in the World English Bible is a tool similar to a pitchfork that would be used to lift harvested wheat up into the air into the wind. The wind would then blow away the lighter chaff allowing the edible grains to fall to the threshing floor, a large flat surface.
Listen we press towards the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus!!
What is the mark it's our destiny our destination but what is the high calling? It's our purpose in God that will lead us to our destination the area we are called to produce fruitfulness of life the place where God gets Glory out of us happens at the threshing floor a place of crushing a place at the press of pressure a place where we are there and the good and the bad of us are separated like unto wheat and tare how God said let them grow up together and then the craft will be blown away by the wind and all that remains is the wheat the substance of our lives that is evidence of the fruit God has pruned in and out of us!!! Thank you Holy Ghost for the pruning and tuning of our flesh so we won't be left behind during the harvest. The harvest is plenty but the labour's are few. We must be at the ready during our press to even push through to get to our destination while fulfilling our destiny within our purpose of our high calling in Christ! In other words there is no press without a purpose and the threshing floor reveals in us what that is and how we will get there.
Philippians 3:14
King James Version
14. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:12
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Mat 3:12 ISV His winnowing fork is in his hand. He will clean up his threshing floor and gather his grain into the barn, but he will burn the chaff with inextinguishable fire.”
John 15:1-6
John 15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. note
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Matthew 6 33-34
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
