Some have said it reminds them of Mad Max's Interceptor, some say Something from the "Fast And The Furious" But, a Batmobile is a Batmobile. And you know the Meanwhile crew is going to have lots to say about the Bat's newest ride. Who's the Loki lady in the photo? Set photos from the Loki Disney+ series have leaked and it looks like the Prince of Mischief may be part Princess.  Our eagle eyed co-host Frank, spots a familiar face among the Loki cast. Who  could it be? From there we move on to the breaking story that Christian Bale has been confirmed to be the villain in Thor 4. The three of us toss around names of the potential big baddies Nolan's Dark Knight could be playing. Footage from The Falcon and Winter Soldier has found it's way online, and has only complicated things. Yah, Palpatine's a clone, sigh. And we cap off the show talking about some new looks for our favourite mutant canuck.

On this edition of the Nerdly News. Is Fandom facing a coming Armageddon? All the signs are there, and Frank is taking you down the rabbit hole. In the last week. Dan DiDio - co-publisher of DC Comics has been fired, and Bob Iger, CEO of Disney Corp. has stepped down as CEO. The rumour mill is at full tilt and the four of us don't leave a single stone un-turned.  We touch on all potential fates that could befall DC in the wake of DiDio's unexpected departure. From the 5G launch to the highly unlikely Marvel take over. Don't fret though, it's not all doom and gloom. In the fandom a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. Lucas Film and Disney have finally lifted the veil on Project Luminous and to say we are excited would be the understatement of the century. One word, Wookie Jedi! Of course it more than that. But I can't be the only one who has been waiting a lifetime for this. From there we turn to gaming, your favourite ginger Jedi is back as a sequel to Fallen Order was announced this past week. In Mandalorian news, Giancarlo Esposito let's it slip that we may be seeing him in a lightsaber duel next season. And to wrap up the show we speculate on the rumour that everyone's favourite community college co-ed/mad woman, may one day become the Marvel universe's strongest lawyer. All this and so much more on this episode of Meanwhile Back On The Podcast.

A video reveal of the new Matt Reeve's Batman suit sparks a round table discussion surrounding the caped crusader and the larger DCEU as a whole. Frank, Kristina, Chris and Geoff dive into the new Bat symbol and its comics origins. They may have found a practical use for the new jagged design against Catwoman, but only if it gets caught on a sweater and unravels to produce yarn. Speaking of Catwoman, Zoe Kravitz and Robert Pattinson regularly training together has our hosts excited to see what their onscreen chemistry could shape up to be and speculate on their characters' relationship. Netflix's Masters Of The Universe: Revelations star studded voice cast and an interesting, if not perplexing, theory about the push back surrounding the controversial news that Marvel's Eternal's will feature the franchises first gay kiss will cap off this episode on a spooky note.

Ok, just a heads up, so literally the day we were set to go into the studio to record this. Frank found a more detailed synopsis of this script, complete with dialogue. So, we decided to back pedal a few scenes but I assure you it is worth it. No joke, this script has some of the greatest Star Wars moments ever imagined. And the ending...I don't think any of you are prepared for this. Some of us are still trying to recover. And we are pretty sure in Frank's head cannon this is his Episode 9.

Well DC and Warner Brothers have made history with "Birds Of Prey And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn" this is the first ever. All female lead, team up comic book movie. Expectations were certainly high going into this film, led by fan favourite Harley Quinn(Margot Robbie) and supported by other iconic DC Heroines like Huntress(Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Black Canary(Journee Smolett-Bell) DC Fans were excited to see these lady Justice Leaguers immortalized on screen. Now, if box office numbers are any indication. I think one can speculate the final product maybe  didn't live up to it's comic book counterpart. But, we went and saw it and we are glad we did. Because it definitely lead to one of the most exciting and tension filled episodes we have ever recorded.

With the Superbowl behind us, its time to talk about all of the great TV spots and trailers that were gifted to us. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Wandavision and Loki all get a trailer, or should I say they all share one trailer.  Wandavision catches our eye in particular as it promises to get weirder and weirder with every frame. From there we address some of the rumours surrounding the Black Panther film franchise. Could we see Shuri take up the mantle of the protector of Wakanda? And to change it up we also get into the remake trailer for the beloved game Final Fantasy VII, yes its finally here and yes, Cloud cross dresses in it, in case you were wondering. That's not all, in this episode we also introduce our newest co-host Geoff and give him a chance to play in our fandom sand box.

We continue our discussion of the Star Wars movie that could've been.  This script keeps getting better and better the further in we dive. Colin Trevorrow's riskiest moves are in this portion of the script and they make for some great scenes. We again couldn't give it the time it deserves so are part three to this discussion is on its way. We hope you enjoy this breakdown as much as we enjoyed the experience of doing it for you. So lets all jump into our head canons and imagine this movie, sadly its the only theater playing it.
