Welcome back to another brand new episode! (the last one before Ramadan!!!!) So listen, we have some explaining to do...

We recorded for about an hour and a half on Sunday only to realize that our camera wasn't actually recording so we were only able to capture the audio. That being said, Amir (our editing and creative genius) decided to repurpose the unused vlog footage from our travels last year to make the video component a liiiiittle more interesting for our viewers (listeners-- yall aren't impacted this week lol).

Anyway, we apologize for those of you that look forward to seeing us on a weekly basis. In sha Allah next week we'll come back with our regular video + audio for our Ramadan Series!!!! We’re back… and we have stories to tell! ✈️🌍 

First things first—road trip snacks make no sense (seriously, why do we do this to ourselves?! 😭). Then, we finally spill on where we’ve been, including Sara’s very last-minute trip to Ummrah 🕋✨. Spoiler alert: planning around “nature’s calling” is an extreme sport. 😅

Pro tip: CHECK YOUR PASSPORT EXPIRY or you might end up in trouble like someone we know 👀. From almost missing flights (classic 🙃) to experiencing the Muslim airline struggle and getting her bags lost again (seriously, what is this bad luck?!), Sara’s journey was anything but smooth.

But nothing beats the feeling of seeing the Ka’ba for the first time 🥹, surviving the circling of the Ka’ba, and the actual struggle of finding a spot to pray in the Masjid. Oh, and did we mention touching the Ka’ba and the dangerous side of Tawaf? Because WOW.

Immediately after our announcement, we had some technical difficulties and ended up almost losing the first 30 minutes of our footage (Amir recovered it though, he's the GOAT I tell ya). The Google Pixel 9 is out and looks kinda nice...I may have to make to make the switch over, but we'll see...
