The setting of the story of Christmas is hope. Financial stability will come and go. Health issues only increase with age. The disappointments of severed relationships are unavoidable. Jesus is the only one in whom we can find true hope.

Jesus spent His entire earthly life reaching out to people. This is because God has an outward focus. If God is a seeking God and this is how He reaches people, why do we expect that people will come to us?

There is no shortcut when it comes to following Jesus. He requires everything you have and promises to give you everything you need. Trust in Jesus and don't let anything get in the way of following Him.

Jesus tells three stories that paint a picture of God’s heart. He has a great desire to help the lost become found. God will do whatever it takes in the mission of changing lives. He wants you to have a heart like His.

What can you do for your neighbor? There’s a good chance that you'll never find an opportunity to serve in your neighborhood if you don’t look for an opportunity to serve in your neighborhood.

Producing good fruit takes time. The gift of time is one of the most costly things you can give because it seems like there is never enough. Yet, Jesus teaches that this is exactly what is required in being the “light of the world.”
