Jesus died on the cross and came back to life three days later. The Resurrection reality is the heart of Christian faith. For a follower of Jesus, this is the single event that changes everything! Not only does God promise the hope of a new creation; He has the power to pull it off.

Palm Sunday is the celebration of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Jesus is getting ready to give the greatest display of sacrificial love and obedience the world has ever seen. What happened on that day is much deeper than a few palm branches and shouts of Hosanna. Can you celebrate the deeper story of radical obedience to God?

Prayer was an essential element of the life of the early church. They prayed because they believed in the power of prayer. When Christ-followers turn to God in prayer, they will experience the joy of God’s surprise.

The early church community worked hard to be sure that everyone had an opportunity to have a living relationship with Jesus. God offers you acceptance, forgiveness, and joy. It doesn’t matter who you are, it only matters who you know.

The book of Acts tells us that the church equipped believers for ministry. Christ-followers were encouraged to join God’s work in the world around them. Every person is called to God’s mission and has been gifted for a specific ministry.

The earliest Christians wanted to share their faith. They did so by listening to and obeying the Holy Spirit. Christ-followers never stay where they are. They are passionate about reaching out and sharing the good news of Jesus.

The early church enjoyed a strong community because they shared life together. Christ-followers have to be connected in community to know the joy of God’s grace. The church grows together by sharing the same mission and celebrating generosity.

Worship was one of the most important priorities in the New Testament church. Christ-followers don’t come to church to escape the world; instead, we come to encounter God. Our instinctive response to both tragedy and blessing in life is to offer it to God in worship.

The people in the book of Acts expected that their lives would be transformed by God’s word. The goal of discipleship is in being changed from the inside out. Discipleship isn’t just knowing the Bible; it’s letting it change your life.

The earliest Christ-followers caught sight of God’s vision and it changed everything about their lives. When you are driven by this kind of passion, you will joyfully give your energy, your time, and your resources to His mission.
