Today in our sermon series in Hebrews, we reach the concluding section (Heb 13:18). Here we find a personal prayer request, a benediction, an exhortation, and greetings. Today we will look at the first one about prayer (Heb 13:18 & 19).

In the afternoon, we have been going through the book of Revelation. Today, we will be finishing the portion that is found in chapter 15 and 16. This week, before we have our reading, I want to begin with a question that will help you connect with our text. The question is: How do you respond to God in all the trouble that we have in this world?

Today, we will focus on the sixth plague, and next week, Lord willing, on the seventh.

Now in chapter 13, we are given instructions about how we are to conduct ourselves as we go forward together with our fellow believers. First, there were basic instructions about loving one another. Now we are looking at the worship we are to engage in. And today, we see that we are to go forward in harmonious fellowship with the stewards of God's house that He has appointed to watch for our souls.

Today we will continue our sermon series in Hebrews. We are in the last chapter of the epistle—chap. 13, which is filled with practical instruction. Right now, we are in the part that focuses on our lives as a worshipping community now that Jesus has come.

We will continue our sermon series in Revelation. Today, we are looking at Revelation 16:8-11. In this chapter, we have a brief description of seven last plagues that are poured out by seven angles who each have a bowl that is said to be filled with God's wrath. Last week, I explained that there is good reason to see that these are given in reverse order. When prophecies of calamities are given, we cannot always predict very well just what the fulfillment of them will look like.

Today we come to a section in Hebrews that tells us how we are to approach God in worship now that Jesus has come to be the Saviour of the world. There was a major change in the way we are to approach God in worship. But the question is, what are we to do now? Are there no sacrifices whatsoever? Is there no place we are to go to worship? Those are questions that Hebrews 13:15-17 answer for us.

In chapter 16, each bowl is described. Today, I am going to focus on the first three bowls, but this will necessitate doing a little more general overview of all the bowls and their relationship to each other.
