We will focus especially on the words in the middleof Hebrews 13:9, that it is good for our hearts to be established by grace. Let's unpack this statement.

Last week, we covered the first five verses of Revelation 14. We saw the 144,000 Jewish Christians that the Lord preserved, sparing them when the Romans destroyed almost all of the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They were preserved that they might make the gospel known to all. Today, in Rev 14:6-13, we will see how the angels help in spreading the gospel.

Today in our study of the epistle to the Hebrews, we come to Hebrews 13:9-17. It is so easy for God's people to get off track in their worship. We'd rather not hear anyone say that. We'd rather that it was not true. But it is demonstrated over and over that it is true. In both the Old and the New Testament, we never seem to be content with the worship that God appointed for us.

In Revelation 14, our text today, we get to see the 144000 after the 3½ year siege. Today, we are going to look at the first five verses to see how God's grace has beautified them. And we will look at this that we might be encouraged to seek His grace.

In today's passage, we are introduced to a second beast—who is subservient to the first one. The beast referred to here is unbelieving Israel.

God has given us so much in His precious word. In the book of Hebrews we have seen the superlative excellence of Jesus Christ which is set forth to us in the first ten chapters. Today we come to vv. 7 & 8 which has to do with loving those who have led us in the past.

Many people have heard of The Beast in Revelation. There are many wild ideas. But the Bible shows that the Beast has appeared all through history. In Revelation 13, we have a description of the manifestation of the beast in the Roman empire. There is also the mention of a lesser beast in Israel that we will be looking at. In looking at these, we will learn about the beast and how the beast operates.

Today we continue our sermon series in Hebrews. We are in Hebrews chapter 13. Here we are told how we ought to conduct ourselves as we go with the people of God to God our Father's house in glory. Today, we will look Hebrews 13:5-6, but I will begin with Hebrews 13:1
