As mothers we nurture, protect and do for our kids... I love to be able and get frustrated when I feel helpless. All these things are normal feelings to have... I wrote a letter with a whole bunch of promises I hope my daughters can give to me... for the betterment of them.

Billy Porter is a wonderful, intelligent, African American actor who has stopped the red carpet in gowns and enormous hats with features too. Billy Porter identifies as a black man in his life and on film. I have no issue with that. Now, that Billy is supposed to be on Sesame Street... it has created an uproar for some. Wondering about the “ Black Man Gay agenda” on kids... Umm I think in today’s society there are far more bigger issues. If your child seeing Billy Porter in a dress is disturbing please turn off your TV and avoid the discussion... but where does that leave your child?

Houston we have a problem!!!! Anya is having a problem loving the curls in her hair and thickness. Why is this happening? Maybe she isnt seeing enough girls with hair like hers... Parents are usually more worried about their daughters over their boys. Treat them equally... Boys need to know what consent is just as much as girls do. Check that ego at the door and understand if its a no or not sure... NO MORE. If its a yes and please proceed still ask them what they need. Consent is about teaching young minds their right to choose or have a say.
