Labor Law (Labor Code, In Khmer: ច្បាប់ស្ដីពីការងារ) of Kingdom of Cambodia was promulgated by Decree No. CS/RKM/0397/01 of March 1997. The present law was made base on the 1992 labor law and the Constitution of Kingdom of Cambodia (1993). Before this law was promulgated, the legal orders governing the relationship between employers and employees were the 1920 Civil Code, and then the 1927 Sub-Decree. Today, legal order s governing relationship between employers and employees are also provided new Civil Code (2007) of Kingdom of Cambodia.   Labor Law (1997) establishes the Labor Contract that "The labor contract establishes working relationship between employers and employees." There are two types of labor contract under this law:
