The nationwide enforcement against disposable vape imports has led to a prohibition, according to Health Minister Mark Butler, who referred to it as the "most significant loophole in Australian healthcare history."

In a $737 million initiative to eliminate recreational smoking, the government has imposed a ban on the importation of these products, regardless of nicotine content.

The updated regulations dictate that vapes can only be legally available at pharmacies with a valid prescription.
