Awooo! It's time for a full moon! Moon Island NEIPA that is, from Thimble Island Brewing Company located in Branford, CT. This week we're crackin' open this super light and drinkable but deceptively heavy hittin' brew, and we talk about some interesting beer news and our first beer fest in over a year! Cheers!
Welcome back! This week we're crackin' open Phresh, a NEIPA from Alvarium Beer Company located in New Britain, CT. Tune in to hear more about what makes Alvarium unique, and what makes this NEIPA so damn PHRESH!
Round two ... FIGHT! This week we're wrapping up our Six Pack Series featuring stouts, by crackin' open a few more cans and then ranking everything to help Beerfessor Mike figure out why they're one of Elyse's least favorite types of beer ... Or are they? Tune in to find out! Cheers!
Maybe went overboard on the title of this episode, but we're excited to bring you another beer challenge! This installment of the Six Pack Series will feature Mike as the Beerfessor, challenging Elyse to come face to face (or mouth to glass?) with her least favorite style of beer. This challenge features 6 stouts - new, old, and classic. Tune in for round one and a lot of fun! Cheers!
This week we're crackin' open Perch, a blonde ale from Nod Hill Brewery located in Ridgefield, CT. Are New Zealand hops our new favorite thing?! Tune in to find out how these hops make this beer special, and what else makes this brewery so unique! Cheers!
This week we're crackin' open Blue Raspberry from Evil Twin Brewing by way of the Twelve Percent Beer Project. Evil Twin's main brewery is out of Queens, NY and Twelve Percent as our listeners know, is out of North Haven, CT. This sour IPA is a delightfully light and balanced beer that is not too sour and not too sweet and altogether very refreshing. A great introduction to sour beers for someone who maybe doesn't like most other beer varieties, Blue Raspberry might be a beer, but its almost like a seltzer. Tune in to find out more about this interesting concoction! Cheers!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! This week we're taking it back ... waaay back ... to learn about Guinness and Smithwick's (aka the classics) and even St. Patrick himself! Tune in because, well, we had a lot of fun and we know you will, too! Slainte!
This week we're crackin' open Little Lungs, an IPA from Short Throw Brewing Co. out of Richmond, VA and North Haven, CT. This one is an interesting yet simple mix of familiar and new hops, that took us both by surprise! Tune in to find out more. Cheers!
This week we're crackin' open Czech Mix, a pilsner from Back East Brewing Company located in Bloomfield, CT. We've been meaning to try this one for a while, and it does not disappoint! Czech it out ... I mean, tune into the episode to learn more and find out what makes a pilsner, a pilsner! Cheers!
This week we're crackin' open #SORRYNOTSORRY, a peach IPA from Evil Genius Beer Company in Philadelphia, PA. But, you say, Elyse hates peaches, why would you choose a peach beer?
Because she's brave! That's why!
Mike and Elyse try this low IBU, extremely drinkable beer that seems like the perfect beer for the summer, in the middle of winter. Plus it's peachy! So that's a plus.
So let's crack on open and learn about some beer!
