Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content and PR, so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it.
In this episode, I'm interviewing Ruth Kudzi, who is a master level coach and coach trainer. Also, I've worked with her personally and I'm currently doing her coach training.
[0:47} I'm Ruth Kudzi. I'm a master level coach with the ICF, which is the highest level you can get. Business and mindset coach, coach trainer, podcaster and best-selling author.
{1:38} The coach training business, we actually set it up at the end of 2019. Our first cohort went through in 2020.
{2:13} We're recruiting our third cohort in February. We've got three groups within that cohort. I'm super excited to see the people that are signing up, their experience, their skillset, and really get to know them because I would say the quality of people that we have on the course is amazing.
{3:24} So mentoring, you're leading by what you know, and coaching, you're working with a person to work out what's in their head. So actually combining mentoring with a coaching approach means that you're able to help your clients overcome their mindset issues and make more progress.
{4:19} I prefer doing content like podcasts or video. I used to love and will do it again, but I used to have days where I would just go in with my video guy and we'd literally do like six or seven videos in a day. And then he would get those all edited and upload them onto YouTube. We also then share those on our Facebook page, get them transcribed and then they become emails and they become content posts.
{6.48} Don't be afraid to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. There's a thing that Tony Robbins says, "what if your worst day was actually your best day?". So what if the worst thing happened and then you were able to learn so much and grow so much.
Ruth Kudzi is a MCC accredited and award-winning coach, coach trainer, business mentor, speaker and best-selling author. She is the CEO of two successful companies: A coaching and mentoring business helping entrepreneurs build and develop their businesses and a coach training school which helps people to train as certified coaches and develop their coaching skills.
She combines her background in sales and school leadership and education with over 25 years of study of Psychology and Neuroscience including MA in Psychology & Education, BA in Psychology & Management, PGCERT in Coaching (Psychology), PGCE in Business Education and numerous coaching qualifications including diplomas in Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, NLP, Performance Coaching and Business Coaching. She is a DISC L3 accredited trainer, a Spiral Energy Coach and is working towards her NLP Master Practitioner.
She is passionate about evidence-based approaches to coaching and personal development and helping people integrate their learning so they can live purposeful lives and run successful businesses.

Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell, don't be afraid to tell it.
This episode is all about what happens when you get creatively stuck. So here are five useful tips for getting your creative juices flowing. Many entrepreneurs, coaches, and creatives can feel an underlying pressure to constantly churn out new ideas and content. Sometimes it comes easily, and your mind is bursting with imaginative ways to move forward and it feels great. But other times, a massive creativity block arises. And this can be a really frustrating moment, causing the recipient to feel stuck and in a rut.
{1:48} So, my first tip is leave expectation at the door
{03:14} I've also started to host walk and talk creativity sessions on Clubhouse, which is the new audio app.
{4.19} Speaking to others and brainstorming together, or simply verbalizing your ideas. This really works for me, I think as I speak.
{7:40} Spending too much time thinking about something without a break will cause a complete creativity block.

Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it.
So in this episode, I'm going to be talking about the power of walking and how it can boost your creativity. I am a massive fan of walking, and have been for the last four years. I absolutely love the way it can break up your day, and completely inspire you to write or create a new course, a blog or a poem. For me, walking and writing go hand in hand. Many of you may not know this, but I'm also a qualified Nordic Walking instructor. I take people out on coaching sessions where we walk and talk. So in this pandemic one thing I've really noticed, which I've seen as a positive thing, is seeing so many more people out walking in nature, mainly because it's the only thing that they can do. But for me, I still think it's a win. I think you really can walk your way to happiness.
{1.22} It actually has been scientifically proven that walking can boost your creativity.
(03:08) It seemed that nature while it can boost your wellbeing, didn't solely drive their creativity. The exercise itself did, it's the cadence of the walking and the movement. If you think about the rhythm and pace of writing and poetry, it's very similar to the pace that you walk.
{3.49} I believe that the inspiration you get from nature and your surroundings and the people that you walk with, really can improve your creativity whether it's scientifically proven or not.
{4.26} So next time you are stuck, why don't you take yourself for a walk? Don't plug those headphones in. Look around you, enjoy the scenery, and allow yourself to be inspired by everything you hear, see, and feel as you walk.

Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content, and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it.
Wow! 2020, what a year it's been. So many people have had to change what they do and pivot really became the word of the year where so many business owners and entrepreneurs had to change the way they worked. I applaud all of you for making rapid shifts to get online.
{0:59} People have launched memberships and courses and really turned things around. But I also applaud the men and women that took a pause from work or worked half days so they could home educate their kids and people that just decided to take their foot off the pedal, reflect and change what they did as well.
{1:28} I think we can all reflect on the positive things that happened in the pandemic, people connected more online, they started walking, I'm a massive fan of walking.
{2:53} There's been a higher focus on online presence due to less in-person interaction, so building and expanding on your digital content marketing efforts has become a necessity.
{4:39} The use of content marketing calendars and social media tools gives you a clear vision and direction.
{7:50} Video is not going away, we know it's going to be even more important in 2021.
{8:53} Think about what you can do differently with an online course. Can you bring higher production values?
{11:28} I know that when you bring fun and enthusiasm to the content that you create, it makes it so much easier. So, have a fabulous New Year and here's to 2021 being an amazing year.

Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it.
This week I am delighted to be interviewing Julie Colan, the founder of the Secret Whispers brand and multi award winning Kegel kits. She has also recently launched the CupIT Menstrual Kit.
{1:00} The likelihood of developing an issue with your pelvic floor goes up by 50% with the onset of peri-menopause. I was turning 40 the following year, and I remember thinking there's absolutely no way this is happening to me because I've been doing my Kegels since I was 14 and I just assumed every woman did.
{1:56} I always imagined it's sitting on the shelf in John Lewis in the exercise department.
{2:49} I launched and I didn't expect it to go boom, it's been incredible. It's because I'm happy to stand up and talk about this taboo issue.
{10:32} I think it was literally, not even 24 hours later, "what do you think of the hashtag 'Don't ignore the pelvic floor'?"
{11.44} Then you managed to get me into Refinery 29, I nearly fell off my chair. {13.22} I went to a local charity in Leicester where they deal with period poverty.
{15:13} They're very affordable and if you have any questions or unsure how anything works, just pop on the website, where there are lots of little videos.

Julie, a busy mum to two young very active gorgeous sons, wife to an amazing patient husband and a health and fitness enthusiast. Julie, founded Secret Whispers® after she found that were no adequate products available to help her improve her pelvic floor and a lack of information available.
She was horrified to learn that women are led to believe it is 'normal' to cross their legs when they laugh or sneeze. That urine incontinence after childbirth is almost expected and is challenging the message of multi-national companies, profiting from the sale of incontinence pads, that bladder weakness is normal.
Armed with a simple message that, in many cases female incontinence can be avoided, and with her multi award-winning 6 Step Kegel Kit, in just over 2 years she have helped thousands of women stop leaks and strengthen their pelvic floor.
Her mission is to dramatically reduce the current statistics of 50% of women who suffer with incontinence with providing education and support on the importance of Kegel exercises.

Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it
Today I have got a brilliant guest, her name is Lynsay Anne Gould, and she is a podcast queen, or should I say a podcast and business coach. She will be sharing her story of how she started her own podcast and how you can start one too.
{0:46} I'm a podcasting and business coach. I help entrepreneurs and brands to start podcasts and to grow them. But the main reason I do that is to help them to have more impact. We have a bit of overlap because you do the same, you want to help people have more impact too.
{1:23} My background is in HR. I was head of HR, working at director level on some occasions as well. I was doing really well in my career, but the more senior I got in my job, the less happy I felt.
{3:49} I kept getting people asking me, "So how do you make money from a podcast?
{7.33} Figure out why you're doing it. What do you want it to do? Do you want it to set you up as the expert?
{8:05} When you're producing content for your podcast, it's much better to produce content for your ideal listeners who might be a couple of steps behind being ready to work with you.
{14.01} But I think one of the biggest things that I find with new podcasters is they are not themselves, so feeling like they've got to put a voice on.
{17:32} The Podcasting for Business Awards are live at the time of you listening to this, they're open for all podcasters, and it's your opportunity to get in front of a much, much wider audience.
The Podcasting for Business Awards entries close on December 18 2020, and you find out more here: https://www.lynsayanne.com/pfbawards

I am delighted that, for the next few weeks, we'll be interviewing some epic content creators. Coming up, we've got Faye Morgan from 365 Day Social, who is a Facebook ad specialist and social media legend. She'll be sharing some nuggets of knowledge with us to help us boost our engagement with social media posts, and talking about lots and lots of other great content ideas.
{2:57} I love combining the creative side that has been my background, with the data driven side that you get within Facebook Ads Manager.
{05:53} You've got to really think about who it is that you want to attract, and not just go for those big follower numbers.
{11:42} You've got to really think about content that's going to work for your audience.
{12:05} When it comes to marketing, don't just think like everyone else. Try and think about how you can be different, ignore what everyone else is doing.
{22:18} Where, if you just set yourself a good few hours to plan that month's content ahead, you just become more organized, and feel more organized

In this episode, I'm going to talk about how to repurpose your content for different platforms. So as you know, I am a massive fan of repurposing content. It's a great way to revisit old content that you've created and creatively tap into its theme, create something new and original without having to spend that extra time researching. It saves you time and money and also headspace.
{1:37} Content can be adapted to suit different social platforms, whether that's repurposing a blog post into a social media post, or a video into an article, or in my case, repurposing a blog that I've written into a podcast.
{3.24} Repurposing content is an ideal way, not only to reinforce your values and ideas and increase your audience reach.
{4.01} So here are four key ideas about how you can start repurposing your content.
{8.31 While it's important to track the results of your repurposing adventures, it's also fun to experiment and be imaginative with your content so you and your business stand out in a content-saturated world.

Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content, and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it.
This week I'm going to be talking about how to spice up your social presence. This one is for people that remember who the Spice Girls are. Yes, if you're old enough to remember them, you're about the same age as me. How do you keep a valuable and consistent social presence? There are hundreds and thousands of millions of other people trying to do the same thing and there are so many channels from Facebook to LinkedIn, to Twitter, to Instagram, Snapchat, and if you talk to my kids, it's all about TikTok. They all have their own unique marketing qualities. It's pretty hard to know where to start. And you may be wondering to yourself, where am I going to find all the time to be in all of those places?
{1.19} You don't need to be in all the places all the time.
{2.00} Day of the week themes work well on social media.
{3.07} Share help how-tos in your content.
{4.25} The reach on video is higher on most social platforms.
{6.21} The mistake people make is that they make a great e-guide, freebie or bright brilliant blog posts and then they don't use social media to amplify it or promote it.
{7.41} Repurpose your popular content. It's unrealistic to produce new content all the time, there just isn't enough hours in the day.
